It was just two of us. The staff was very friendly and at 5:30 on a Saturday evening, there was no wait. Food was very good. It is a little pricey, but worth it.

We ate here tonight on it was great. We are staying at the Elms. The Elms is great; but, food is high priced and mediocre. The Ventana had a great menu and loved the atmosphere. I had a Spinach salad which is best salad I've had in long time. Service was great. Would go tomorrow again to try something else; but headed home.

The whiskey glazed salmon, Italian butter, and kc strip were phenomenal! Great atmosphere. Waitress was very friendly. It is 45 minutes from my home and I will definitely go again! Worth the trip!

We were in Excelsior Springs recently and a friend recommended Vantana Grill. We were staying at the Elms and I suggested that for dinner, but she chose Ventana. I'm so glad she did. The drinks, food, and service were excellent. We ate at the Elms a couple of days later, and were sorely disappointed. I would take the Ventana over the Elms anytime and will definitely go back there when I visit MO again!

We've stopped here a couple of times while staying at the Elms, it is in the "downtown" area of Excelsior Springs. It opened just a few years ago, brave to open a new restaurant in an old area that is trying to make a come back. This restaurant definitely helps. Place is very cool inside and is a tribute to its roots. Staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Menu has something for everyone. Steaks, pasta, salmon, salads, specials, they have it all. Food is great. It is a home cooked meal in a warm and homey restaurant. They have been busy each time we've been in town and always found a place for us to sit. Servers know the menu and know the wine selections. Good wine selection, including local wines, and beers and a full bar is available. Dinner for two is a great deal compared to KC dinners. Dinner for 2 only about $30 before tip. Tip well for good service!

Perhaps the best spinach and artichoke dip we've ever had and we've tried a lot! Love the feel of the place in an old building with original brick walls, tin panel ceiling, and wood floors. We enjoyed an early dinner with the place nearly entirely to ourselves. I had the New Orleans and my bride had the spaghetti. I couldn't help myself with the recommendation of a cheesecake. Both of us were very satisfied. Wonderful service and experience. We very much enjoyed our date here.

This is a gem of a find that we came across. The food is great, the service is great, the drinks are great. It has become a yearly birthday tradition to eat here and they never disappoint. You would be hard pressed to find Luther restaurants of this caliber in the area, so don't pass it up!Parking: There is a lot across the street that fills up quickly, but there are plenty of nearby streets that allow parking as well.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu was satisfactory for our two boys!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience here tonight, pasta, perfectly cooked, steak, perfectly cooked and so flavorful.Then, cheesecake, wow! I’m not a huge fan, but this is phenomenal cheesecake.Bravo Ventana, bravo.

If you're visiting The Elms in Excelsior Springs, do yourself a favor and have dinner at Ventana. The service was excellent, my steak was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked as was the broccoli- tender but not mush. To top it off, they make their own cheesecake. I'm not a huge fan of cheesecake, but one of the staff at The Elms recommended it... dear god, amazing, the Biscoff Cheesecake was fantastic!

Food is alright, staff is down right atrocious. Not kind to guest in the building and most certainly not kind to their employees. I witnessed them not only be disrespectful to me and my family but to our server as well. Like I said ALRIGHT food, upper staff is the most hateful people I’ve ever encountered. Will not ever give this company another dime.
