Well..hadn't been to steak and shake in a while and I had heard that some things had changed..Upon entering, we stood there and nobody greeted us or said hello even though some had made eye contact and knew we were there..So we ended up using the self serve kiosk thing to place our order with no real understanding of how things operated in the store at this point..(later, we saw people being seated like they were at a real restaurant.no clue there).. so we sat down and waited but instead someone came around to confirm our drinks-what was the point of the kiosk then? So confusing.. finally our food came out and it was decent but for $34 it was not worth it. The store itself had lots of employees but it was extremely dirty! Floors were filthy, tables still had trash all over them and then I saw an employee in the restroom wash their hands..then proceed to use the same hand to push all of the trash down in the trash can and walk out-hope those were not the same hands that cooked my food. Will I return-at this point probably not. Businesses continue to demand more money from us and do not up the quality of service to match and this is unacceptable! And btw.. "served" myself at the kiosk and it asked me if I wanted to tip the staff-really?? The tipping culture has gotten out of hand anymore. The food was good enough that if the store could fix its customer service and cleanliness issues I may consider going back--but you be the judge

Came in with a group of 5 took 20 minutes before we got our order taken, people came in after us ordered and got thier food before us, about over an hour we ask wheres our food then another 10 minutes go by, we get our food finally and half of it was wrong or missing, waited another 20minutes for remaining food. The fries were cold and we never got checked on the entire time whilst waiting or eating.

Since when do mangers serve the customers here this is not right. Then I over hear the manager telling people that she sends people home to come serve. Ridiculous. Hire a new manager

Hopefully just a bad night...we left after it took way too long for a server to even acknowledge us. Then, after finally getting to order...we watched our food sit in the window for another 10 min. We asked if that was our order, and they said oh...yea, I'm sorry about that. Might just be our last visit. We did let the manager know...she said she was sorry.

Great place to eat very affordable comfortable atmosphere and wait staff is amazing I am a regular there myself I always ask for the server Christina laws she is always so warm and does an amazing job every time we eat there would highly recommend anyone that goes there to ask for her by name promise you will not regret will definitely be back and ask for Christina

Seems like every time I am working late and stop by for dinner. The burgers are cook great, but the fries they give me are burnt and old.

Absolutely hate what has happened to this franchise. I've really liked their hamburgers since I was a kid. My Dad loved a cheeseburger and a vanilla shake. The current prices are really good, but the problem is service, or lack thereof, and overall cleanliness of the restaurants. I will try to continue to patronize Steak and Shake but it needs a serious turnaround. They continue to close locations and I'm not really surprised. Bummed but like the burgers-MVP
