The best Chinese food in Missouri
My husband and I got takeout for ourselves and our three children a week ago. The food was alright. The chicken is fried heavily, and the fried rice does not include vegetables. We also ordered crab rangoon, and three of them did not have any crab - only cream cheese.
Basic Chinese restaurant but food was good.
It’s great food big portions he has always been consistent with noting wrong and make it right when they do iv watched him pick up broken boxes and throw them away cause he likes Al his stuff to look nice and taste good yes communication isn’t the best but if I go in a Chinese restaurant and I feel welcome I’m leaving they can’t cook but these two wonderful husband and wife work hard and it shows they care about their business and to anyone who makes a bad review I know your a competitor trying to bs cause some of y’all’s pics ain’t his products or the containers he uses and to say it’s Nasty you have no tatse buds at all with ya unseasonably bland opinion don’t lie on someone’s name knowing u are more than likely the reason ur food sucked and blame him iv had everything on the menu it’s all good and he doesn’t ever serve food that will burn thru the package he waits till it’s cool enough please please please everyone go here and see for your self from me a chef and a true big back he don’t serve old bad food it’s not that fire city Chinese food but for where he is located and his prices for the sizes I’ll choose him anyday
Outstanding food outstanding prices outstanding people
I go here at least once every two weeks for great Chinese food! I would go more but I don't want to get burnt out.

First visit to J & I Chinese Kitchen. This is a carry-out or delivery restaurant. Appeared clean. No dining area here.
The portions were large, and the food was very satisfying and delicious. I definitely will be returning for more.

The food was fast and the people are friendly. The food was fresh and they are thoughtful to put the sauce on the side so your breaded chicken doesn't get soggy on your drive home. The wontons were the best I've had. Oniony, full of meat. The chicken for the sesame chicken was all white meat and seemed hand-breaded and fried. The sauce was flavorful. We will be back. You can't beat $6.25 for an entree, fried rice and 2 crab Rangoon ?

Let’s start with the fact my food came in broken containers leaking the juices everywhere, I ordered a simple meal asked for broccoli and carrots only, I got green peppers, bamboo shouts, mushrooms, cabbage, no carrots and 2 pieces of broccoli, and chicken tasted and look days old, fried rice…. More like burnt rice. Waste of money. It’s sad that this is still open with food and service like this.

I've never been a fan of Chinese takeout until J&I changed my mind. They're no frills and no fluff but that allows their good food and service to shine through. They make ordering on the phone fast, simple and easy. The service is extremely quick and our food is always hot and fresh. They wrap each container and have cardboard between them to prevent spills and damage in transit.
While the location itself is quaint I appreciate that it's a mom & pop ran small business and love supporting them. We also get a kick out of the little photo shrine to their dog. What the restaurant may lack in atmosphere they certainly make up for with the food.
The portions are big so you really get your money's worth. The General Tso's chicken is quality pieces of meat, which is usually my biggest hangup with most takeout joints. The sauce is tangy, sweet and spicy and there's plenty of it. The veggies in the lo mein are perfectly tender crisp and the noodles are flavorful and abundant. We always have leftovers for the next day.
This place is truly a hidden gem of the area as far as takeout goes.

I used to love this place but a few months back I bought my last order ever from this place. My extra side of chicken fried rice had bugs in it, it looked like a little mite. I’ve got a video of it even but be aware people and look through your food
