Me and my wife decided to try something new and have dinner here. I had trouble with the kiosk machine but I managed. The food was great, but it took a long time for our food to be called out to us. While waiting I mentioned that the lobby area had some filthy tables. I was not mad it seemed like they had little staff. But this young gentleman came and cleaned them immediately. While doing so I mentioned to him that our food was taking quite some time. He apologized and said he’d have it out shortly. Few minutes fly by and he approached my wife and handed her a bag of food. Apparently an online order cancelled and they didn’t want it to go to waste so he passed it on to us. The staff was very welcoming. The manager was very professional and the other young gentleman on the grill had us laughing while waiting. Good employees but the store could be cleaner and have food out faster.

The first time I went inside to eat at this Steak N Shake, the entire restaurant was filthy! The bathrooms, the glass, the tables. Even the aprons that the employees wear looked years old and filthy! We went through the drive thru tonight and it we waited 20 to 30 minutes! I've been to other Steak N Skakes and this one is by far the worst one I've ever been to. Do better or lose customers.

Oh my goodness gracious!!! This place is so delightful and so welcoming!! My first visit I was a Dine-in and the dining room was actually fairly clean for it being in Jefferson County. Not a crack addict in sight. The tables could have been wiped down a little more, but other than that it was clean.
Although my second visit I was a dine-in as well. They had messed up my burger. I had ordered it with no onions and to my surprise (silly me) it had onions. I went to the drink station and waved down an employee from the back. She was a bit on the shorter side and had glasses. She was very rude and passed me off to another employee. I didn’t quite catch the young man’s name but if I recall it was along the lines of chase or chance. I want to shout out this young man for going out of his way to apologize and remake my order. He was the kindest employee I’ve ever came across in my 58 years of living. He’s a ladies man for sure and has a very cute smile. Definitely deserves a raise 😉

I was told to wait in the drive through due to short staffing. I understand and was willing to wait. Waited an hour before attempting to communicate again. Absolutely no response. Diners inside we're still receiving service while over 10 cars left the drive through. Not sure why I waited so long before leaving, but I kinda wanted to see how long they would let it go for. Absolutely never going back there. How can you trust a store like this to cook food safely if they can't even staff enough to pay attention to the drive through? Very unsafe.

Food is perfect every time. The line usually moves fast for a steak n shake too.
I waited 25 minutes(silly me) behind one other car in the drive thru and drove away before getting to the pickup window. Inside was not busy. They need to close down the drive thru if they cannot run it.

Very nice place and food. Didn't like having to place my order in the kiosk, since I wanted special and it took longer. Then at the end they actually asked if I wanted to leave a tip after I had to place my own order (no human) and pick it up myself at the front when ready. We also cleaned our table before leaving. They should have tip me.

Started going back when they switched to beef tallow fries. Drive-thru has been great every time, staff is personable & professional. Patty melt is great, garlic burger, and kids meal. Fries cant be beat now!
