The food is as good as can be expected. Every time I go, there is a very long wait. The shakes are definitely worth the wait though.

Atmosphere brought back memories. Food was very greasy. And there idea of service was a kiosk machine and self service; Your name is called and you pick up your food at the counter. What surprises me is that you were required to pay a tip for the cook to cook the food that was not good.

The lack of service just baffles me first I order through door dash and never got my order because they let some one walk away with my order, okay I get it not thier problem. So I drove there myself and had two separate orders one for me, payed with my card and one for my sister was supposed to be paid with her card but instead paid for both with my own card. Horrible place to go they need better workers.
So I haven't been to steak 'n shake in over 25 years. I decided to go and get something for myself and my mom tonight, what a mistake.First off it took over 25 minutes to get through the drive-thru.Second, they originally were wanting to charge me $19 and some change when I told them how much it was when I saw online they ended up changing the order and it came out to exactly the price $4 cheaper.Last they made both burgers wrong. What a disappointment ?

My children and I love going here for burgers over places like McD's. My hubby and I will sneak out later at night occasionally, while the children are asleep, to pick up ice cream, and then eat it at home. It's fun. It's like a little date - our special time together. The staff is pretty decent, too. The owner is a fun guy. I like it when we get him through the drive-thru. He usually has some sort of funny thing to say. Steak N Shake, keep up the great work.

I decided to grab dinner at Steak n Shake, the last one I went to was kind of nasty, but the one at hwy 30 and Sugar Creek is AWESOME!!!From the fresh bun, the perfectly fried burger patty to an abundance of ketchup mustard and fresh onions...it was EXCELLENT!!!I went back today to try one of my all time favorites from S n S , chili 5 ways and a single....AMAZING!!! I've never had better chili 5 ways, lots of chili, lots of cheese (melted!!).I highly recommend this (one of the few remaining) Steak n Shake, the people are extremely friendly, the service was fast and as mentioned, the food was INCREDIBLE!!!THANKS!!!

Food has been great the past few times we have been here. Like best steak and shake food I’ve ever had. Service is friendly, that being said I don’t ask for much anywhere I go really. Atmosphere is quiet. Don’t like the kiosks but I have a feeling that’s everywhere.
