Found this little gem after a day of travel.. it was later in the evening and just what we needed to complete our trip. I had the pulled pork and brisket wonderfully tender with a light smokiness. Perfect IMHO. And the sauce!! They had a sauce recipe that has been passed down thru the family. Holy Cow! It was so good. Called Sweetie Tweadie. So good I asked if I could get a bottle
To go. Drakes is on my list of places to visit when in STL. The atmosphere was relaxed and the music was relaxing too. The owner popped over and chatted with us. That was a very nice touch.

We stopped in for appetizers and a few drinks before a show that we had purchased tickets for. The food was great. The service was great. I enjoyed a Long Island Iced Tea. It was great. The atmosphere was very friendly. The wait staff was friendly and management came by to check on us while we were there. They were very friendly and everyone smiled and made eye contact. We will come back to have actual dinner the next time we are in the area.

I always have a fantastic meal at Drake's, plus the staff are incredibly polite. I'm very happy to have a place like this so close to home!

Overall, I had a great experience eating tasty food.

Parking: The owner is amazing. Very accommodating, creates a warm home like dining experience with a nice team of servers. Nice place for a group. My family has dined with groups of 6-15 multiple times with everyone enjoying the food and dining experience.

The food is delicious. With the greens, cabbage, salad with house dressing, fried catfish, grilled catfish and pork chops being some of my favorites.

The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was nice. The people there were fantastic too. While everything was great, a couple of the high points from my meal were the house salad dressing and the mac n cheese (one of the top 3 restaurant mac n cheese I have ever had).

Kid-friendliness: I have two autistic children. Our waiter was great with them, and there were definitely great kid-friendly items on the menu!
