This was my third visit, and since I live in Atlanta but come to St. Louis often, I’m on the hunt for a regular go-to spot.. Aside from a few changes I wasn’t expecting, the food and service were outstanding. Big thanks to Ms. Brittany she was accommodating and made the experience even better.. The lamb chops were absolutely amazing! I did miss my whole wings, but the party wings definitely held me over… I would recommend this place also, they off military discount with proper ID!

Food overcooked, over priced and not really homemade from scratch. Chicken out the box and refried making it hard, grits with milk made it very watery and mushy, sausage out the box refried making it very tough and hard to chew, but pancakes were good.
Employees not dressed appropriately, one waitress attitude very unprofessional and disrespectful when making product inquiries to make informed decisions and to punish us, she passed us off to another waitress and recorded and processed our order incorrectly on purpose. Additionally, when confronted, waitress became very combative with us as first time customers just exploring menu items for clarity.
Atmosphere was somewhat disorganized and hostile, employees were on their phones and eating on front line while serving customer food, unbelievable so comfortable in doing.
White establishments would not allow such behavior, appearance or demeanor.
Tried to support Black Owned Business, but they must change protocol to enhance and enrich customer experience.

The customer service itself was delightful but our food took a while to come out. There was also a ton of flies inside? It started to become a bit uncomfortable for me because of how they would pretty much harass you or your food the entire time you’re trying to eat.

I visited Hive Cafe a couple of weeks ago. I’d have to say the best thing here food wise was the fried chicken . The grits and potatoes were really good. But the pancakes and waffles were not good at all The pancakes especially were very gritty. Tasted as if the batter was not fully mixed. The staff could have been friendlier as well. I do want to try this place again as the waitress did say they were training someone new cooking the food.

So I ordered the rice and gravy, i love rice and gravy who would have thought I would pay $7.75 for a small bowl ( i should have asked about the price) to much pepper for me..
