$60 wasted! My first and last visit. I had meatloaf which was suspect, no onions,garlic powder, bell pepper or anything to hide weird taste. Beef was mixed with some other type of meat. Gravy from a jar! String. beans salty. Mac and cheese not cheesy my husband had dressing which had too much sage and was gummy and same jarred gravy. Collards were bland. The jack salmon was good. Going to Diners Delight tomorrow!

Shotty service for the
most part, friendly staff, ticket times extended beyond industry standard of 12 minutes, it took approximately 20 minutes to receive my food and 15 minutes to receive an orange juice, this as my guest's food and beverage Items were served in a rather staggered manner not making for a cohesive dining experience for my party of 8 as a whole. The food however was amazing. Can't say that I will hurry to return If at all.

Today 3/1/25 was my first time their let me tell you the food is so goooood everything is fresh. I had catfish collard greens macaroni yams cornbread and dressing..wheww it was absolutely delicious..I am definitely going to be a regular there lol I told the lady that did the cooking which is the owner,how I enjoyed my food..if you haven't been go check it out, you won't be disappointed.. black own

It’s a cute little place but the food was nasty. I got the fried catfish with yams and Mac and cheese. All of the food was bland but the fried catfish was perfectly fried. Unfortunately the mac and cheese and yams were not good at all. The fried okra was good though. I love supporting black owned businesses but I hope they change up some recipes or something! Especially with those prices.

Very poor service. My elderly grandmother and her church friend dined here and after eating and deciding on dessert to go the waitress asked them to wrap up their dining experience because the table is needed for more guest. To do this to an 85 & 95 year old is very disheartening & disgusting. I do not recommend this place at all, ever. After spending all that money the workers are ready to kick you out after they have your money in hand

The SOUTH HAS COME TO FERGUSON!! I’m from Alabama and we have -in my opinion the best southern style food!! It’s hard to find GOOD SOUL FOOD WHEN WE ARE TRAVELING! This is by far THE BEST!! If you like good home cook food then you MUST COME TO KING OF SOUL!! Taste like Sunday dinner 🥳🥳🥳🥳 you will NOT be disappointed 💯💯💯 the cooks in the kitchen gotta be from down south!!! My first visit, we dined in and the food was good. The second time we did take out, how do you charge gratuity on a take out order, I think that was crazy but I did it because the food was good the first time. Well it was not so great the second time, collard greens were bland and tough, chicken a lil salty, Mac and cheese turned watery, not cheesy at all. We will not be back for a while..
