After eating at Kathy's Kitchen, Ms. Kathy suggested stopping by the black-owned wine bar next door. The moment I stepped into the Midwest Wine bar, I was wowed with the ambiance... it was giving everything. There was a special event going on but we were welcomed in by the organizer of the event and the owners. There was a live musician there for the event, and food as well. They had Prosecco... Yayyy. The mixed drinks were great, and they even let my friend sample the non-alcoholic ?. The music was good and the vibe was there. 10/10

This is a wonderful establishment. Every time I touch down in STL this is a definite stop. It is black women owned and once you walk in the atmosphere just feels SAFE. A safe place to be authentically you. I will always visit. Not to mention the amazing hospitality provided to us by the owner and delicious drinks. Music always on point. Forever customer ?

Let me just say, this place has it going on. From the decor to the music to the service. And the place is decorated soooo cute. Though I went for a private event, I immediately decided I needed to go back on a regular day just to sip and chill. I had a Queen Bee drink that was delicious. I was told by someone in our party that the business hosts different vendors during the week that offer food. I will definitely be back to visit again so I can experience that.

Sat down at the bar, there were 3 bartenders working, I was NEVER greeted nor acknowledged. After 20 minutes of watching them work I asked if I could order a drink. The owner replied yes and proceeded to make me a Lemon Drop in a plastic cup! I had to ask her for sugar on the rim, which she did. But it was over priced for the amount of liquor and the plastic cup was over the top. They aren’t friendly at all…. Never again! Poor customer service at its finest!
