This was a goid place to get barbecue years ago when the food was cooked and served outdoors and it still may be really good, but I puchased the beef brisket and rib tips and nether meat was really done and it was kinda salty,, over salted. I spent about $30.00 and I did not get full b\c I couldn't continue to try to eat it. I am about to put it in the oven, covered tightly with a little water and let the meats bake for about 45 minutes to an hour. The serving sizes were grest, but too under cooked......waste of time and money, wii not be going back, SORRY. I decided to try this place again on 10/20/24 ordered 1/2 slab rib and it was again too salty. Some parts overcooked, undercooked and the cooked just right, inconsistent texture, consistent saltiness. Spent 26$, not satisfied. I really will not ever return again this time. Too much money to waste

When i drove up, I could smell the Bbq and see the smoke from the grill. Which is why I was surprised at the quality of meat. I didn't care for the bbq sauce, it taste like catsup mixed with hot sauce.
My beef ribs were overcooked. The potato salad was decent, but I only had a fourth of an egg in mine. The menu online price was increased in person, I mentioned it to them that it needed updating.

The time waiting for food was awful this evening. It took us about 45 min to receive our food.
It was an ordinary Saturday evening, not near a holiday.
They announced "They were not expecting so many today".

Limited menu, the only thing the cashier recommended were riblets, riblets are garbage, I'm not going to pay for something that they cut off to throw away. They don't have pulled pork, they don't have beef brisket. Not much of a barbecue restaurant I'm really puzzled about all the "five-star reviews"

A Must-Visit BBQ Spot in St. Louis

During our anniversary trip to St. Louis, we kept hearing rave reviews about Red's from everyone we encountered. Intrigued by the buzz, we decided to drive to Ferguson to see what all the hype was about—and I’m so glad we did!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The customer service was excellent, making us feel right at home. The background music added a nice touch, creating a relaxed vibe as we settled in to enjoy our meal.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The BBQ was absolutely fantastic—well-seasoned and packed with flavor. Every bite was a treat, and it truly lived up to the high expectations set by the locals.

If you’re in the St. Louis area, don’t miss out on Red's. It’s a delicious experience you won’t regret, and it definitely made our anniversary even more special!

The food was delicious, and the people were extremely kind and patient. This was our first time visiting Ferguson and St. Louis and it was definitely one of the better barbecue joints. We ordered ribs, rib tips, potato salad, baked beans, and lemon cake. Whatever you order, you gotta finish your meal with the lemon cake. Someone's great great grandma passed that cake recipe down and attached love to it. It was so darn scrumptious ?
The sister/ brother duo at the front were so hospitable. It was greatly appreciated.
