Food was amazing. Espresso martini made with cold brew was top tier. Lillian was the best server I’ve ever had. 10000/10 recommend.

Nice spot for lunch, but they just miss the mark as a go-to. Food isn't as good as their chophouse, and service is iffy. I eat here 1-3 times per week (close to work). They recently gave our reserved room to another group (made weeks in advance and it was held on a credit card). This was for a business meeting for a new client, and all we were offered was a group table in the loud restaurant (the reason we asked for a private room) and $15 gift cards (our guests were all from out of town).

The place is beautiful inside and out. The service staff are amazing as are management. I found the food to be just so/so. And the prices are extravagant - prepare for sticker shock for mid-quality food.

Always a great place for a meal! The food, service and ambiance is top-notch. The noise on the barside can be a bit overwhelming, but we knew that going in, and for us, not a dealbreaker. Our server, Charlie B., was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and played a big part in the evening's enjoyment. Thanks!!

I came here on a night when there was a mountain of snow - so it was not very busy for dinner. The drinks were spot on - really good! The bread and butter was OK - I wish the bread was warmer, but I think the restaurant was very short staffed given all of the snow.

We were a party of seven, celebrating a birthday. Our waitress was excellent—friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, professional—and everyone in our party thought the food and cocktails were excellent. We would definitely go back.

In general we had a good experience and excellent waiter. The food was ok but didn't match the price.

I had such high hopes for this restaurant when I booked a reservation for my birthday. The restaurant was super noisy and my husband and I could barely hear each other let alone our server. The French onion soup and lobster bisque were good but my filet meal was terrible. I asked for my steak to be seared medium and it came grilled medium rare, next the garlic whipped potatoes had too much garlic and were a congealed yellow blob on my plate with a terrible taste and texture. Our server should have realized by the look of my plate that I did not enjoy my meal but instead she boxed everything up and said we would have some really great leftovers at home and she didn't offer to show us a desert menu. My leftovers went straight into the trash. To top it all off they didn't even have a small dessert because it was my birthday. I wish I would have booked a reservation at Herbie's in Clayton instead of this establishment. Due to the terrible food and extreme noise we will not be returning to 801 local. If you want food not cooked the way you ordered it and have your ears ring all night from the noise book a reservation, if not go somewhere else! If I could give less than one star I would have.

Beautiful place, great service, delicious food but noise level was deafening and we had a hard time talking with each other across a booth table.

Great service, wonderful food! An unassuming little place in Frontenac Gluten free items in abundance I had the wedge salad with shrimp/avocado and the butternut and spinach ricotta ravioli. Fabulous, every bite! Husband had the caeser salad, steak, potatoes and asparagus So good he didn't even think about ketchup! AND a gluten free chocolate flour less torte for dessert😄

Food was good but service was very slow. They were busy but we were the first seating when they opened for lunch and it took almost two hours. Way too long for a business lunch.
