Mariposa

I go to Mariposa for the food, which is excellent. The service is great too. The menu is interesting and the food is delicious. However, there are no windows in the main dining room and the bank gets opposite a chair for a table of two are really not my favorite at all.

Often it's hard to find someplace special to go for lunch. This is a place that is always perfect. I'm guilty almost always ordering the same thing. But if I could, I would probably just eat a plate of popovers! I'm sure I'm not the only one!

I think of it as a hidden gem. Popovers with strawberry butter and the Demitasse of chicken broth is a special touch, try finding it at another restaurant. Service is on point and the food is delicious. The Chef stopped by our table to see how everything was, much appreciated. Our server was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Everything was great, but where is Buffy? I don't think I've ever eaten there without her waiting on me?

The trio was perfect soup, salad and chicken salad sandwich for those who can't choose just one. Did not like sitting so close to another couple. Would have liked to be able to engage in a private conversation without being aware others could hear Our server was excellent. Brought special dessert for birthday Made this a very special occasion

The service was absolutely terrible! Would not recommend. The tables were not cleaned for at least an hour after people left. The walls are dirty and the menus have stains on them. The food took a long time and it was lack luster at best. The ambiance is so generic and could be used better.

Mariposa has hosted multiple gatherings for the city and community over the years. Mariposa has easy parking and great access from inside Plaza Frontenac or outside parking. They consistently do a superior job - great food and great service!

Our food was outstanding as usual! We always try and sit in Buffy's station. We are never disappointed in the food choices she recommends, especially the Asian salad special she recommended to us today. She is always so friendly and accommodating.

We had a lovely lunch except for the tornado. We thought maybe they'd take a little off our bill for the tornado relocation trauma, but they did not. Lol. Food was excellent, service terrific.

The French Dip was maybe not the best I've ever had. I'm sorry to say it - there was nothing really wrong but it was just okay. But our waiter made up for anything was was mildly lacking. Was his name Marquis or something like that. I'm SO sorry I didn't jot down the correct spelling. He was AMAZING - personable, handsome, efficient beyond words. The atmosphere and decor are wonderful. This was the first I had been since the name change and all was wonderful. Can't wait to return - hope I can get the same waiter

My girlfriend and I were celebrating her birthday. This was her first time at Mariposa. We both enjoyed the chicken salad with the mandarin jello. It was a generous serving and we loved every bite.

Food was delicious & Buffy (our waitress) was so pleasant & gracious. Lovely ambience.
