Every time I visit Mariposa, it's a five star review - except for this time. I don't know if they were short-staffed, but all the staff seemed extremely stressed out. We had to wait forever for our drinks and finally I had to ask for them and they were brought either by a hostess or manager, who said it “wasn't her usual job” - but we appreciated it. We had my favorite waiter but he was very rushed. When it came to food, I ordered a salad with salmon and it was the smallest piece of salmon I've ever seen - for $30. My friends didn't seem to be “oohing” and “ahhing” over theirs either. Not up to the usual. I'm a regular and I'm just going to assume this was an off day but I wasn't feeling the love. I'll try and pick a slower day to go back. I wondered if something bad had happened that day to make everyone so grim. I hope not. I feel so privileged to have Mariposa as a place to dine. The menu is always able to accommodate me and the servers are always just lovely and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxing.

Excellent service food was delicious and temperature that was expected for the meal. Excellent customer service greeted with a smile who came out on a family matter enjoyable experience.!

My flatbread pizza was disappointing. The crust is way too thick to consider it flatbread. And my bisque was too creamy for me. I think for the price, it should have some lobster in it. My friends did not care for the jello mold on the chicken salad plate. I thought there was a salad niciose on the menu, or used to be. Wish that had still been there. Only the popovers and the service were really impressive. The cookie did not taste fresh. Quite ordinary, in fact.

There are many lovely choices on the menu. The salad I enjoyed was full of all my favorite ingredients, with a choice of several protein options; the salmon was wonderful. Servers were friendly and accommodating. I will be back!

We had an extremely untrained waitress, who appeared to be stretched out pretty thin. When we could wave her over she was pleasant. I noticed none of the older staff was present. Also waited 7 minutes for the hostess to show up, she was also pleasant when we finally saw her. This was not the customary service I was used to by a lady ng shot. Also much smaller portions. All and all I was dissatisfied

Came here with my girlfriends for an early lunch before shopping! I ordered the chicken salad which was so tasty. It is such a beautifully decorated place that looks quite fancy but the prices are good and the food is so delicious. Service was friendly and prompt!

I always enjoy my meals at Mariposa. The food is good, and I love the popovers, strawberry butter and the broth. The ambiance is lovely and upbeat. And, Buffy provides exemplary service, no netter how many tables she is serving.

The food was all excellent and our table ate 3 different menu choices. Also the broth and pop over was right on par as always. Buffy our server was a delight and very attentive to any table needs. John the head Chef even stopped by to make the food as great and if we needed anything. Will be back soon!

The food was so salty and un-edible. Returned for another entree and it was salty too. The popovers were dry and cold. Have been eating at this restaurant for years and it was the worst ever. The waiter was not so great either, when I asked him to take my plate away he just looked at me and went to another table. He didn't understand basic waiter protégée like serve from the right and take away from the left. Must be a new chef who is not too talented. Unfortunately we will not be back.

We come here twice a year and are never disappointed. Marquee was amazing as a server. My only wishes they would bring back the Neiman Marcus chicken salad with the orange soufflé the original dish, not the chicken salad on a bed of lettuce.

I enjoyed a nice, relaxing lunch with my daughter. I love the complementary chicken broth and popovers, and the Parm crusted chicken dish was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Slow, inattentive service. No bartender; had to be reminded about condiments; meals took longer than usual; poor manners “Do you want the bill now...or maybe some dessert?” Not as professional service as we have received in previous visits.

The food was good, service was delightful. Decor is almost stark, very plain. Prices are definitely to the expensive side. I would tell anyone who asks “food is good but be prepared for a very expensive lunch”.

The service at Mariposa was impeccable. The food was pretty good, too! It's a great place to stop during a day of shopping.

Weirdly, it wasn't our best visit. I'm there several times a year, including my daughters and I every year for our annual mother daughter Christmas lunch. On this particular visit I ordered the mandarin orange soufflé. I guess I didn't realize this equated to a jiggly jello mold. I was also expecting another popover since the menu mentioned it came with NM bread, not a cranberry muffin. The chicken was completely tasteless. As if I was eating plain shredded chicken. Aren't you known for your chicken salad? Two of my three daughters were never offered refills on tea. It wasn't crazy busy.....I've been in the restaurant business for over 20 year. I do not normally leave reviews as I understand this is a hard job. But for the almost $200 I spent I expect better. Do better Mariposa!!!! Tiffany Bradley 314-440-7761
