Excellent Caesar salad. Best in STL!!!
Absolutely awesome food! Perfect service! Also a very wide drink selection.
Food and service were great. Best eggplant parmesan.
Atmosphere is great. Ravioli was so very yummy. Server was excellent. A gem.
Can always get a good meal here. And their bakery goods are the best
Used to love this place. The food is still fantastic. However, the last two times the service has been terrible. The servers themselves were great but the place has been consistently understaffed. I asked about getting a second bottle of wine but by the time our server got around to answering a question I had about a bottle I wanted (a $98 bottle) we had finished dinner and decided to pass. As much as I enjoy the food I doubt I will come back. There are too many other good restaurants in St. Louis that have far better service.
Always goo. Food, service, atmosphere and total experience.
A elegant meal at lower prices than you will find at any other fine restaurant.
Wine appetizers dinner was all great services fantastic
I won't return. The food was just ok. I ordered the fish of the day. It was bland and overcooked the accompanying risotto was also somewhat bland. We were brought the check without even being asked if we wanted to order dessert or coffee. It's obvious that they just wanted to turn the table.

Via Vino is a the sister of Sugo's, one of my most favorite Italian restaurants. My last several meals at Sugo's were superb, but this night we couldn't get seated, so we went next door to Via Vino. I thought Via Vino was strictly an enoteca, but it turns out that they serve a full menu. You can also order from Sugo's, quite convenient. So OK, we each had a glass of Bordeaux Blanc at the bar and it was excellent. The problems came when we sat at a table for dinner. Via Vino is a dark place, somewhat glitzy and very noisy. We started with Carciofi and it was delicious, drenched in butter and covered with Parmesan. A little too rich, but delicious. My favorite dish at Sugo's is their Funghi Pasta. The Via Vino version is prepared with a cream truffle sauce. The Sugo's is better, much better. I'm sorry I didn't order it, but you got to try new things sometimes. Service was nice but very slow - the place was rocking for a Friday night, so that was understandable. All in all, Via Vino is not a bad place at all, but I think I prefer Sugo's.
One word: risotto. Never disappoints. Service was great, too.
We like Via Vino Enoteca, drinks and the food is good, but things are changing. VVE began as a free standing restaurant with their own menu, sharing the kitchen with Sugo’s, a sister eatery. Months later, an interior door between the two venues appeared. And now, there’s only one exterior door. We had to go through Sugo’s to get to VVE. It’s like the back, adult bar for Sugo’s. We typically go to VVE for drinks and apps as we like the venue, it’s more of a bar scene while Sugo’s is more of a family restaurant. We met friends for drinks and apps at VVE on a weeknight. They were expecting a large group, but we arrived early and left as the group was gathering. Our waiter measured our purpose and gave us plenty of space. Perfect for our plan. But what is going on?
Good by the glass wine selection. A little expensive $!0 for a 13 dollar retail bottle. Clamari shrimp appetizer was excellent. Service was so so. Seemed like the waitress wanted to wrap up things pretty quickly :-).
Lived it,loved it.A solid A
