Set behind another retail establishment, just a short walk down the hallway, you will find Fulton Cafe. This cafe is focused on Cuban recipes.Being a sucker for a Cubano, that is what I ordered and my wife had the BLT. Both were accompanied by their potato salad. Delicious! The key to a great Cubano is the bread. The owner told me how he orders the bread directly from suppliers in Florida. You can tell the difference, very good.I also tried their beans n rice and a side order of fried plantains. This was our first time trying plantains...wow! What a treat; not too sweet.I want to come back and try their large entrees. See you soon Fulton Cafe!

Our whole office comes in here regularly and everyone always finds something they like. They have a lot of great sandwich options, as well as some traditional Cuban dishes/stews that are great as well. Service is exceptional!

Favorite place to eat in Fulton! Owner is super nice and always working, serving the people himself as they walk in. Never had something here I didn't like, especially love the café con leche! There's always a movie playing here too, which really relaxes the vibe while you're eating. I love it!

Overall this place is a great option to avoid fast food and take a fresher route.Pros: Food was pretty good everything was hot and fresh tasting! I was pretty satisfied and will probably come back.Cons: Anything down town is difficult to find parking. Lack of signs, it was kinda hard to find at first. The sandwich I got didn't look like it was advertised. I expected a cold light sandwich, the picture made it look like the salmon was raw (cured salmon) and looked like it had a light white sauce of some kind. It was the opposite, the sandwich was hot the salmon was cooked and shredded, definitely a cheaper salmon. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected, and not worth the price.I ordered for pickup over the phone, I wanted to order online but there was no cash option so I had to call, wish they would change that.Pricing is a bit high. 18 basically 19 bucks for a salmon sandwich and maybe half a cup of fries. I didn't even get a drink. I understand I got salmon, but I still think it was pretty pricey and fries weren't a standard side so I had to pay extra for it... The woman taking my order on the phone didn't mention the extra cost, but I knew about it because I tried ordering online first. Charging extra for fries seems pretty rediculous to me.So yeah in summary I'll probably be back and get a cheaper sandwich. I think they should review their side options and a few other fixes.

8/10 would recommend. The Mega breakfast sandwich was MASSIVE and delicious. The biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. Smoothies were nice and fresh. My only complaints: Soda machine was on the fritz (no one’s fault) but we couldn’t even get water, and The muffin was dry.Vegetarian options: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes

I married into a Cuban family over 47 years ago. We love Cuban food. Not much of that to be had in middle Missouri, though we heard that there was a Cuban café in Fulton. Today we finally got the chance to go there. Such a nice place. Very clean, very interesting as it is in an historic building, very unpretentious and welcoming. It is clear that they care about what and who they are serving. Jimmie was our server, our host, a cook, and it felt like we parted friends. We also had a great conversation with the owner John. Cant recommend this place highly enough. Also can't wait to go back. -- wow, all that said and I didn't mention the food. We both had Cuban entrees and they were authentic and wonderful. And the spring salad was to die for. Go there!

'Driving between Iowa City and Jefferson City, MO...'decided to detour along the 54 business loop through Fulton for a sandwich at the Fulton Cafe.... DO IT! Their Cuban Sandwich and Picadillo special were excellent! 'Quick and friendly service in a pleasant space tucked in amongst cute shops - - you won't be disappointed!
