After showing a property in Gainesville, (I always take advantage of trying a new place when showing), we thought we’d try Smoking Joe’s. I’m glad we did, the food was very tasty! We shared the brisket dinner and a half order of ribs. They were both tender, I probably preferred the brisket myself. Sweet potato fries and fries were good and so were the smoked beans! The waitress was very pleasant and helpful, kept our drinks refilled. Owner(?) was very friendly and was visiting with most of the customers. We’ll be back but I think I want to try a burger and a fried pie next time to see how they taste! ??

The special was the rib dinner. My husband loves ribs. He said that these were the best he has had. I ordered the pulled pork dinner. Both meals came with two sides. The portions were perfect and so was the price. For desert we shared a homemade fried pie and coffee. The pie was delicious and the coffee was superb. Great food and great service.

Stumbled across this place leaving the city assessor's office. Saw it off the corner of my eye. everything was excellent. the service. the food. Smoking Joe Jr. very hospitable, and friendly. you try this place once. you will come back again and again. my new favorite BBQ place.
