I was getting hangry. Almost turned around realizing it was another 10 miles, but persevered on. And thankful for that. We were greeted and instantly saw fresh beautiful tall luxurious cow-slobber inspiring meringue pies. The floors were clean, the tables, it was CLEAN! Like fresh and clean! The food was quick, fast, and delish. Steak sammich with onions that were grilled perfect and to taste, lots of melty cheese. Loved the pepper jack bites too! GREAT service, topped it off with a slice of coconut meringue and our waitress was gracious to let us take a few lilac cuttings home from the driveway. And did I mention it was clean?!I had forgot this spot was there but it will become a destination. Probably the best meal on Hwy 6.Thanks so much!

we have been ordering to go for quite some time so that is our experience based on orders to go. we have found with any restaurants there are just some things that we just love and we have to find those things and then realize those are the things that we want to order regularly. our hometown Cafe is no exception to that rule. we have found so far that the cheeseburgers are absolutely w o r t h every penny! the fantail shrimp basket it's also amazing! we substitute a salad instead of the fries. the pies are delicious but if you haven't tried their cinnamon rolls you are missing out. there are so many good items that we're going to go down the list and try each one now you do the same! the Hoffman's

Waited over 45 minutes after ordering and asked our server about the delay and was told we should be having our order pulled soon.We decided to leave and was charged nearly $9 for 2 glasses of tea and a diet coke.
