Unfortunately, I found Porky’s to be disappointing. Maybe I went at an off time, but I found the brisket to be lackluster and dry. The ham and turkey weren’t seasoned.
We got a sampler to try everything, and it just wasn’t very tasty. The ribs are excellent though. If you’re going, get a rack of ribs. But the price for the sampler wasn’t worth it.
I am a tough critic for bbq so I’d be willing to come back to see if this was just an off experience. If that’s the case, I will adjust my review.
But the location is great, plenty of parking, seating and the bathrooms are clean.

Ordered the burnt ends and was given a good portion of meat, any bark was absent from the burnt-ends but tasted very good. The smoked meatloaf is the star of the show.

I want to support local businesses and wanted to love this place. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The sauce is not house made. The beans, slaw and the Mac and cheese tasted like they came from the Hyvee deli. The sandwiches were ok, not outstanding for the price. Overall pricey for what we got. I’m glad we gave it a try. Too many other bbq places in greater KC to come back.

IT'S JUST GREAT BBQ!! Good food and friendly staff. Everything on the menu is good. The sampler platter feeds family of 4 easily. Potato salad isn't too thick or loaded with mayo and beans are fantastic.

All the meat was amazing and what you'd expect from a true country bbq. All the sauces are well balanced for any savory taste you have going. The only thing is the sides need the same attention for seasonings and flavor. Definitely will return!

If you have only driven by Porky's Blazin' BBQ on Buckner-Tarsney Road south of Grain Valley, AND YOU DIDN’T STOP… you’re mistaken. We came to eat as a group, like 8 or 9 people and I know it’s a lot, but the staff was so polite and accommodating. They explained what they’re best known for and we went with that! The ribs, are TENDER, bite right off the bone, no problem. Add a little of that sweet sauce, and it’s finger lickin GOOD! Lol! Again, we had a large group, so we had variety of choices. I also recommended the Mac N Cheese, (White Cheese) so creamy! So yummy! Turkey and ham was yummy as well! Again, the atmosphere, was very comfortable and home like. So I enjoyed my meal. 10/10. We will be back. Hey, Patrick Mahomes approved of this good home cooking as well lol

Great BBQ! The sweet sauce is the most popular one. Cozy little spot to stop on and eat with the family.

Parking: Park available up front as well as in the rear.

Kid-friendliness: Observed multiple families with their small children dining in.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance and dining is located on the same level. Restrooms in the rear have 1 step in the rear of the buisness.

Food was pretty good, wish you could order meat in like 4 oz servings instead of just on a sandwich. Sides were good. Burnt ends weren’t great, pulled pork was good. Service was good.

Some of the best BBQ I've had. I'm a FL boy who grew up eating BBQ and have family that runs a BBQ catering business. This right here is top-notch! Will be back.
