Love this local place. Always friendly service. The food is so good. Mexican tacos (street tacos) are authentic, flavorful and the carne asada cooked perfectly. The special today was chicken soup, omg delicious, just the right spice and so much chicken. Don't expect the regular small bowl of soup you get at others places, no, it was a huge bowl! Amazing!

Really good Mexican food. To date, we have been there 3 times, the last time with friends. We will continue to return. So far we have had the cheese enchiladas and chicken fajitas. Both are great. Portions are large, prices are reasonable and the food is great. Ask for some hot salsa to mix with their regular salsa to give it some zing. Great place for Mexican food. Highly recommend. Update: been there too many times to count. The Chicken Fajitas are the absolute best! I've had Chicken Fajitas all over the country and you won't find any better! Generous portion, large size pieces of tender chicken. Onions and green peppers are nice size too. Covered in a blanket of salsa. Who else does that? Awesome! Served sizzling to your table $15.99, enough for two people. The fajitas also come with tortillas, rice, refried beans, pico, guacamole, sour cream and grated white cheese. I ask you, where else serves fajitas with all these sides? Please El Alteno, do not change a thing! Keep up the good work and you will have us dining there for life! Our favorite Mexican restaurant! You must go there, you will not be disappointed!

I Always get street tacos and othet food from their food truck that parks at the gas station on 87th Street but I've been sick and needed some spicy 🥵🔥 soup so decided to try their weekend menudo at their brick and mortar on Main Street in Grandview . Its so good.
