Donuts are not cheap anymore but if you must have them, get good quality donuts from Holts. They have the filled long John recipe from my childhood.

If you're looking for good donuts from a family owned business made with home loving and great variety, this is a local place to check out for sure! Beats those franchise Krispy Kreme and Dunkin.Personally, I like them over Lamar's as well!! They're so light, fluffy with the perfect amount of dusted sugar glaze on those original glaze. If you like chocolate, the devils food is awesome too!!

been going to Holts for, at least, 20 years. Never had a bad doughnut. Always fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Miss the cinnamon crunch, but since they can't get that anymore - the cinnamon sugar is now my favorite!

My family and I stopped in this morning and I had to contribute to the 5-star reviews because I can see it's been a few months . We stopped at Holt's Donuts just because it was the closest shop. We're visiting from out of town and needed a quick and crowd pleasing breakfast for our two kiddos. There was no line but we were there around 9:30 am. The front case looked like it had been depleted by the morning rush. It wasn't a problem because we were offered every donut available. She was just still making them and prepping them for the case. My kids were able to order exactly what they wanted and it was dressed up with the frosting and sprinkles of their choice. We were treated like royalty. We brought the donuts back to our temporary place like we intended but in case you're reading this for information: the shop only has one table and a few chairs. Plan ahead. The donuts were incredible. My glazed donuts were wonderfully sweet. They weren't overly glazed nor were they uncovered. The dough was airy and flavorful. My wife and son experienced the same with their white cream filled long John's. There was less airy dough but that was to make room for the filling. My wife mentioned her donut was very sweet but she had no regrets. My son LOVED his probably for the same reason. my daughter had a white cake donut with rainbow sprinkles. I can't tell you how it tasted because she finished it before I had a chance to ask. She's a very picky eater so I'm not upset. Next time I'm in the area I'll be back. I've told some friends that are more local that they need to visit and support this place. I wish I had taken pictures before we devoured our meal but hopefully this inspires someone else to leave a review with a picture.

I've been inside this building with the family eating those TO DIE FOR LONG JOHNS with nuts on top and cream in the middle since my oldest sister Debbie (Sommers) use to work there back in the mid '80's! Love the Holt's & will push out free advertising every chance I get! FAMILY OWNED IS HOW IT'S DONE, PERIOD! :-)
