Tried the German chocolate and coconut lime cakes and both were really good. The cost is a little extreme. 2 slices of cake and 1 cookie was $16. I am sure this is due to the use of almond flour for keto but I only care about gluten free, so may go back, may not.

Delicious goodies! The cookie with the whipped peanut butter mousse dipped in white chocolate is my absolute fave. Great cakes and cheesecakes too!

My best friend (who also owns a bakery) picked up some goodies from Kat’s and surprised me with a taste test session of them today because she knows I am eating low carb now… and the items were all amazing! I will be back or will be sending orders through my friend when she stops by! Thanks Kat for serving those of us who are eating differently!!!

Excellent keto bakery! On 2 January 2023, I stopped by at opening (10am) and was amazed at all the dessert and savory/entree items available for purchase. Since I was flying out the same day, I ordered the chocolate chip bar, carrot whoopie pie (gob if from PA), peanut butter/chocolate bar and raspberry bar. Within a week all items were gone - all were excellent. While there, I asked about the "sweetness" source ingredient used in the desserts; the response was erithrytol and allulose. I saw almond flour behind the refrigerator, so was able to get a sense of the ingredients. Anyway, would return if I was in Kansas City. Others complained about the neighborhood. I saw nothing wrong about the neighborhood. The store was next to a convenience store and an apartment rental/management office and on a semi-busy residential main road. The individual working the counter was extremely helpful and patient with me as I needed a few minutes to decide (due to the wide-range of desserts). Thanks for your excellence in baking!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The various brownies I got were good but best was the one with white/choc and coconut. Got lasagna and pot pie meal to try. There breakfast casserole looks great. Expensive but healthy choice for diabetes and beriatric

I just finished what was called a 2-serving Enchilada Casserole. First off, DELICIOUS! Second, I actually got closer to three servings from it...so very filling with protein and healthy fats, that you don't need much. I've never seen such variety of keto options anywhere. The entire bakery is dedicated sugar-free and gluten free. Kat's Kakery is a gem in Kansas City!

Absolutely wonderful. Kat is so sweet and knowledgeable in all things Keto!!! There are so many Keto and gluten free things to choose from, I was overwhelmed in the best way possible!! We will definitely be going back for all special occasions, and whenever we're just having a sweet tooth ? she also sells savory foods that are delicious and nutritious! You will not be disappointed.

Came here excited to try a place that actually catered to KETO but left highly disappointed! First time in to the bakery and walking in I wasn't even greeted the girl just walked over to the cash register and stood there and looked at me. Uncomfortable at that point but still optimistic I informed her this was our first time her so I was just looking around a bit and that my mom was on her way in to look too. Now knowing that this is our first experience in here she did not become more welcoming. The owner came out from the back as well did not welcome us into her store either. No explanation was given for any of the items being sold and even when asked the girl at the register did not seem very knowledgeable either. People on Keto really need to know what it is they are consuming. Although almost everything in freeze had a label with nutritional info and the date written on it they conveniently left out the price on everything. They baked good just had had written name labels and no price written. If you are print a label or handwriting the name it is just as easy and free to type the price or handwrite the price on it as well. One brownie was $6 dollars, I can buy a box of 12 Duncan Hines Keto brownies for that price and they are far superior to the one's at Kat's which are thick, dense, leave a coating in your mouth and a cooling/ burning sensation in your throat from the cheap substitute sweetener used. We bought a cookie bar which was over priced and had the same mouth feel and cooling sensation and was also mushy not crunchy like a cookie. The worst part was a Tamale pie, which should not be named this at all! The crust on top was sickening sweet like it belonged in a dessert, and the filling was just ground beef, No Tamale sauce, no Chiles, no onion, just plain beef that may have had a packet of store bought taco seasoning, we couldn't even eat it and a small 4 servings was $20!! I could come home make my own fathead dough in around 12 minutes and construct an entirely better version of this for wayyyyyyyy less money and not that much time or effort. I mean the prices in this place are outrageous!!! That why she doesn't list them. I personally think it is taking advantage of people on Keto who are looking for an alternative to restaurants and fast food, she knows that there is not many other places out there and take full advantage of that. Not to mention even though the owner was there she barely spoke to us, stayed in the back the entire time, did not care to be friendly, give advice, inform us on her products or promote her business. 10/10 would not recommend. Needs many changes that I don't think they are willing to learn or implement at at all.

I'm not sure who that JoJo G person is but I've been going to Kat's now for over a couple years as a consistent customer. First, she and her kids have always been friendly and welcoming to customers over the years as well as her in-house fellow baker and assistant. I have NEVER had anything bad from Kat's and the tamale pie and the irish shortbread toffee bars are some of my favorite products. Some things can come across pretty sweet due to artificial sweeteners but none of the products leave me with a strange film or a burning sensation. I, along with many others are very happy paying the higher prices for homemade (non-factory processed) meals and desserts. Kat puts a lot of love and hard work into making and preparing meals for those on Keto and need alternative options to help us with auto immune issues, gluten intolerance, diabetes and more. Using her bakery along with my own guidance on keto, I've lost over 80 lbs and have reversed my diabetes, high blood pressure and no longer require any of the many medications/insulin I used to be on. If you are looking for a great place to check out, drop by her shop. If you have something you crave, always feel free to mention it while you are in store as she will consider trying to find a keto friendly version to make and possibly offer. Also note that she does pre-order options for certain holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas, etc) to help you stay on track during those difficult times of the season. Stay strong and on track for better health and wellness. Cheers!
