This place is amazing and is such a local treasure. The cheddar and Hawaiian snack sticks are exceptional. Convinced, even as a meat enthusiast, the Hawaiian snack sticks are the best tasting snack I've ever had. It's such a creative and brilliant idea.

I've had some encounters with the Kurzweil family and they are the definition of 'salt of the earth' people.

I cannot say enough about Chris Kurzweil and Kurzweil's Country Meats. My kids wedding day was absolutely incredible and the food was fantastic. The people attending from all over asked us over and over about who catered the food. I highly recommend them and give it 10⭐️ Give them a call if you need a great caterer. The whole hog is unbeatable

The Burnt Ends Special had great flavor and was very plentiful. The burnt ends had just the right amount of smoke and was not dried out. The beans were very tasty with some smoked meat mixed in which gave them a good sweet smoky flavor. The tater tots were just the way I ordered them which was extra crispy. If you want to add bbq sauce, the choices are regular (sweet and smoky) or spicy (sweet spicy and smoky). I did not need to add sauce as the Burnt ends had plenty. Overall the meal was very good and enjoyable!

Stopped here on a Thursday @ 5:20. Place was already closed even though their hours state they’re open until 5:30. Disappointed.

South of Kansas City, there is a hidden gem for a community. But seriously, deserves more. If there was a location in the city you would see Kurzweils name in the same lists as Gate's, Joe's Kansas City, or Jack Stack.
That short-rib grilled cheese. Is a favorite! Give it an award. Smoked gouda! Onions! Horseradish! Pair it with the bowtie pasta.

Had a uniquely delicious brisket sandwich for lunch here today. Their lunch specials are always excellent.

Last minute I decided to get the prime rib holiday meal. LET me tell you my stress level on preparing Christmas dinner was gone and the prime rib was PERFECT along with the other sides. 10 out of 10...you guys hit it out of the park!!

5 stars to Chris, Jessie and team for the awesome job of catering our daughter's wedding reception. The food was fabulous, as always and the attention to detail and service exceeded our expectations!! Thank you Chris and team!!!!!!

Without telling me, they charged me $1.99 to cut my sandwich in half.
