I came to Lake Geneva for a weekend getaway on the last warm weekend for the Midwest area with my best friend and stopped here on the advice from some friends of mine. It has very scenic views of the harbor from the "Shore Shack". And that is where the compliments end. I guess during the pandemic I've been looking at too much of Bar Rescue because I can determine the many shortcomings that Jon Taffer is always looking for and finding in a bar/restaurant. I ordered 2 Cobalt Coolers. It contains 3 ingredients. The bartender didn't know how to make it. She had to consult with a book on how to make one of the signature drinks this restaurant offers. If that doesn't remind of the Bar Rescue show, I don't know what will! We went outside to the Shore Shack and was informed of the different rules from inside the restaurant like: The souvenir cups are only given to those inside the restaurant, the Stella glasses can only be used in the restaurant, and the fish fry is only in the restaurant after 5:30 pm. Ok. Why did I see patrons at the Shore Shack with Stella glasses and souvenir cups??? Not fair. We had a 45 min wait to be seated at the Shore Shack. As we sat outside viewing the harbor we notice individuals just grabbing a seat ahead of us. Not fair. We finally got our seat but we overheard a waitress tell new arriving individuals "no wait, go ahead and have a seat". What is going on??? Finally to my food. So ordered a Cobalt blue burger. It arrives. It is ice cold. I asked my best friend to feel it, she agreed. Even when we informed the waitress of this, she felt it going back to kitchen and she agreed, ice cold. Can y'all do anything right? They made it over. It was just a frozen patty cooked well done with very little toppings. Nothing I would ever go back for. The star of the show: Ivette, our waitress. She took the drinks and the burger off the bill. Jon Taffer, please do not give this place a stress test. They would fold under... "Pressure" by Queen, David Bowie

I give it poor because they aren’t wearing masks. It is the only restaurant around that we have been to lately that doesn’t have employees wearing them. Ridiculous. You would think they know Pier 290 had 3 of their staff test positive earlier this summer. They had a rule at the times that masks were optional. They went to mandatory after that.

The self proclaimed manager,bartender,server had to clean when we were enjoying drinks at the bar and sprayed us, our drinks and our phones with sanitizer. When I said something to her I got a oh it happens so sorry. One we don't need to hear all about what's happening at your establishment . We are guests and want to relax.Two how about you clean when we leave.Three a fake apology is actually more insulting then no apology. We didn't finish our drinks we just left and won't be back

Two aspects of this restaurant sold me: the view (it is right on the Lake) and the variety of entree options. I like to try multiple food options and this place did not disappoint. The ambience is great here-it looks so much like a boathouse that I actually drove past it several times! When I did finally realize that it was indeed the restaurant, I was promptly greeted and seated by my server. There was a bit of a fly situation by the first table, but I was able to easily move somewhere else and still have a great view off the water. I opted for the salmon wrap which was quite flavorful and filling. The price was also great considering the quality of the food you receive. I will definitely be back to this spot once I return!

We stopped into Gordy’s this evening for dinner and were saddened to see the lack of safety precautions given the state of the current pandemic. The hostesses and bartenders were all maskless, there was no requirement for guests to wear a mask and they were busy and not keeping adequate space between diners. Although we have eaten here before and generally think the food is decent, this was a short visit and we won’t be back until the pandemic is well and truly over. This was the first bar/restaurant in the vicinity where we encountered this disregard for safety.

We had the worst server, she was extremely rude and disrespectful. Her name was Laura. She didn't greet us or say hello, and it took her forever to come to our table . She was awful and had a terrible attitude. Because of her we would never go back for dinner. I hope management see this and speaks to her or tell her to take a hike. She was awful and made our experience horrible.
My very 1st time at this awesome joint!! SHANNON was our server and she was Phenomenal!!!! Our food was Hot, on time, and exactly what we ordered!!!! We had a few dark and stormy cocktails and YUMMY!!! We also LOVED BLAKE. What a great kid!!!! This is the place to go for great food, great service and smiles all around!!!!! Xoxooxox

Get the pretzel to share! It’s huge and so good. It’s fresh made and served right out of the oven with cheese and honey mustard for dipping. If you’re just looking to get a few apps to split this is a great spot! Salmon is cooked well, good portion size. Husband had a burger and fries and ate the whole thing. Menu is good for lunch and dinner.

looked promising. we liked the location, decor and general ambience. but omg the food was horrible! hate to be negative or damage a restaurants reputation. but gosh all of our food was so bad. i've never had a turkey burger before so maybe they are all horrrible but i couldn't take a second bite of mine. it was like mush and had such a funky aftertaste that lingered in my mouth for an hour. my buddy's beef tacos we're dripping with grease and didn't come with the advertised toppings. just meat and cheese. the meat was mushy and bland too he reported to me. my other friend requested no guacamole on her tacos because she is allergic but they came out with guacamole and she had to return them. i ordered a chicken quesadilla after polietly returning the turkey burger. it was bland. just chicken and cheese. the chicken was spongey and flavorless. all of our food was served below room temperature too!fired shrimp was the only decent thing we had and they just seemed from a frozen box

Strange dining experience but it was fine. We registered with the hostess who said it would be a 45 minute wait. There were multiple chairs lining the outside wall. While sitting there a waitress came and took our order for drinks and then brought a dinner menu. We ended up eating our dinner in our Adirondack chairs and using the wooden bench for our table It was actually enjoyable as we “people watched” while eating.
