I love support small businesses and this is one of my favorites!! The mom and daughter at the front are so kind and hard working! The food is real home made from scratch cooking. They all work together great! The desserts are so good?. The flavored butters I’ve bought and given as gifts! This is better breakfast options for sure. I never leave regretting eating too much. I bring family out here when they come to visit! It’s cash only but so very worth it! Even when they are busy they are on it! Thank you guys see you again soon! Diabetic friendlyVegetarian options: They would substitute if needed. Ask nicely pleaseKid-friendliness: Great kids items to eat and dad’s pocket!

We ate here twice this weekend! Food was all homemade and delicious! Natalie was our waitress and she was amazing! So kind and on top of things!! Hot rolls with the maple pecan butter, fried chicken, and the best coconut cream pie I’ve ever tasted!!!! You have to stop here!!!!

Hickory County has a not so hidden gem...Home Town Dinner voted #1 by Rural Missouri. Made the drive this morning to see what all the buzz is about and all we can say is WOW. Coffee was not as usual when we asked it is freshly ground perfection... Had to sample as much as possible - eggs over medium, Perfect... biscuits and gravy Perfect... Pecan butter waffle, OMG it was amazing. Did I mention that All bread is homemade. Our waitress was the daughter, she and her mom wait and buss tables and run register while Dad and son make magic in the kitchen. Might go back tomorrow and try the fried chicken and homemade rolls! Oh and we brought two of these bad boys back with us (Homemade Apple Dumplings)

Best lunch we have had in quite awhile. Hand-breaded tenderloins were just perfect. The rolls made by Joy are pillowy-soft and her homemade flavored butter just melts in your mouth. We tried both the cinnamon and the maple pecan butter. Scrumptious! And to top it off, homemade coconut pie. Also loved the old-time music for the atmosphere. We will definitely be back here!

We stopped in on a busy Sunday afternoon, close (30-40 min) to closing time. We were welcomed and seated by our waitress ,a delightful young lady who was friendly, fun, efficient, and knowledgeable. Turned out to be the owners’ daughter. She never rushed us or made us feel like we were an inconvenience. The food was fantastic! Breads and buns/rolls are home made as are the pies. As we were cashing out we met the owners. We know why their daughter is the way she is…just like her parents. We will be making this our go to place when going thru Missouri!

This is the first time I have tried this place. And I hate to have to give anyplace a bad rating, but the truth has to be told. The 2 star review is for the atmosphere and the friendly staff only. Anyway I Got the big Mike burger combo, comes with fries, but they had run out, so I opted for onion rings. Both were a mistake as the burger was dry and lacked any flavor. The onion rings had no flavor either, but a very slight crunch. Not to mention the onion inside was extremely thin. So this is a place that I will not be back to. It's sad when the local McDonald's is by far better then a local diner.

Wonderful gem in Hermitage, MO! Made from scratch rolls, butters, desserts and more ? ♥ Owned and operated by a local family.

What an amazing breakfast with above spectacular service. The owner and daughter were the sweetest and I was able to experience my first apple dumplin'. Definitely going to make this a regular stop when we are down next time.
