The prices have doubled if not more since they opened, but I’ve eaten at just about every restaurant that offers a roast beef sandwich in the Greater St. Louis area and no matter where I eat I always find myself comparing it to Pegg’s. I remember when it was $8, now it’s nearly $17 on Garlic Cheese bread. So I don’t eat here as often anymore but anytime I decide to splurge they always deliver.
We had a great dinner at Peggs! Salad was fresh and crisp. House vinaigrette dressing was the perfect blend of sweet and vinegar. Mozzarella sticks came out quickly and we're served hot. Their marinara was just right amount of sweet and tomato. The muffalata sandwich was great with olive relish on the side. We got a half sandwich and it was huge!! Fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, cooked perfectly and quite tasty. Wings were delicious. Alfredo pasta...
