Strawberry's Backyard Steakhouse

I really wanted to like this place but it just didn't happen. The steak cut was good, and it was prepared ok, but it was very under seasoned. Given that they are famous for their seasonings this was suprising. My wife's steak was undercooked, and her "steamed" vegetables were cold. We asked them cook her steak a bit more and heat her vegetables, when they came back the sauteed mushrooms on her steak were gone and her vegetables, while hot, now smelled strongly of fish for some reason. The 3 jumbo grilled shrimp added to my wife's steak for $5 were ok, but very small. Their baked potatoes fries were what appear to be old unused baked potatoes cut in chunks and fried. Little if and seasonings on them. Very bland, tasteless and nasty. The service was dismal, any time my wife or I needed drink refills or anything it was nearly impossible to get anyone's attention, to the point of having to get up and go get someone. This may have been due to the fact that everyone working in the front and in the kitchen seemed to be younger college aged people, who were mostly interested in gossiping and playing around with each other.It will be a very long time before I can bring myself to give them another try especially at the prices they charge. It was nearly $90 for my wife and I to eat here, and that included only one drink (I had water) and an appetizer. The steals were over $30 each and as I mentioned, they were not that great. For these prices i would much rather go somewhere with better food and a much better staff, and that is almost anywhere as far as I can tell.

The steak was raw inside. I asked for medium well. Just supposed to have a little pink inside. The waitress we had to flag her down every time we wanted something. Won't be back.

Absolutely the best steak I've had in a very long time

Service was horrible. Sat for 20 minutes no drinks, no menus brought. We sat and watched three other couples come in an be seated after us. These couples were brought menus and able to place their drink orders. We got up and walked out.

Terrible service. We came from Bloomfield Mo to get a pork steak was seated and no one would wait on us. Sat there for 20 min before we got up and left. Didn’t give us menus or offer us drinks or anything! Will not be back.

Food is always amazing, and we always have the same server. Thank you Virgina for your great service!!!
