The fresh smoked pastrami was delicious!
We tried Down Street Pour House for the first time this weekend. It was so good. The food and drinks were amazing and the building was really cool.
Here in Branson on a short and solo vacay. I was recommended this place at a salon. Although I only had the nachos appetizer, it was AMAZING. Loved the atmosphere!! I may never be in Branson again, but if I am... I WILL COME BACK HERE for certain ❤
I always love the food here. It is cooked perfectly. The staff is so friendly and the chefs certainly know how to cook some delicious meals.
Holy sheet!! This place is going on my faves list. The atmosphere and location are both really cool. I love historic buildings and the patio area was exactly the kind of place I needed after a weekend hiking in Northern Arkansas. I came across it randomly, looking for lunch, and a place to stop and chill on my way home. The blood orange beer definitely helped with that. So did the birds chirping. I always have to try a few things, so I got the Smoked Trout Platter app and a house-made Pimento cheese burger with bacon and house kettle chips. I put some chips on my burger and you should, too. 😉 The trout was the BEST I've had. Served with pickled red onions, capers, a subtle horseradish sauce, and crostini. 🔥🔥 It looks like about every thing that can be is made here, is, and you can tell. I got a side of green onion and wasabi ranch for dipping the rest of my chips and am so glad I did. I will be thinking about Downing Street Pour House and planning my next visit, tentatively, until I find the opportunity to come back again. Probably getting the Black and Blue burger with blackberry sauce that also caught my eye. Perfect spot for a group hang, a date, or lunch for one on the drive home.
Great food and atmosphere
Good atmosphere & friendly staff!
One of the best restaurants around. Our group of friends tastes this place very high on quality! Our favorites include-Wagyu skirt steak, hamburgers, corn Brule, pastrami, specialty drinks....Love this place!
A local resident suggested this restaurant and it was exceptional. The menu features an English flair and my wife and I enjoyed it. I had the traditional fish and chips that was outstanding!
This was an impressive find. Great food, wonderful service in a pretty plain pub setting. Hollister is a special setting with shops all in stone setting. Take a look around while here, but worth the trip just for the food.

We were in Branson for 5 days and purposely sought out restaurants that are well know national chains in both fast food and fine dining because you can get all of that homogeneous food at home. We wanted independent operators. I researched dozens of reviews on those types of establishments and made a list of those we had to try, based on great reviews. This one was at the top of our list and it did not disappoint. My wife had the Lamb Shepherds Pie which was very good, although she said it could have had more lamb stew underneath the mashed potatoes. I opted for the glazed Pork Chop with Green Beans and Brabant Potatoes. I frequently order pork chops in favor of steaks since I find it hard to find a steak that rivals mine, cooked at home. My pork chop was absolutely fantastic. It was a thick "two bone" chop cooked to perfection. It was perfectly medium to medium rare....extremely tender an juicy with great flavor. I have not had a better pork chop anywhere, in my frequent travels. Even though the place was packed, our service was very attentive with a waitress that stopped frequently to see if we needed another beverage or anything else. We were also intrigued with the physical aspects of this gem of a restaurant. The Pour House restaurant is entered through the lobby of an early 1900's English Inn. There was nothing much in Hollister when a local knew that a new rail line was going through this sparsely populated area. He decided to create an Old English Village street front, to draw tourists by train. He built the Old English Inn across from the "to be built" depot. And it is a grand space and facility. What I found to be most fascinating was the history displayed in the lobby of the hotel. There is a "high water mark" line (about 6' deep" visible on the rough natural stone of the lobby's interior). That was from a historic flood of the White River several years before construction of the Table Rock Dam, which was conceived to tame the White River. We walked up the Grand Staircase to view the sitting areas and corridors of the hotel. Had we known how elegant and fantastic the decor and accommodations looked, we would have stayed there, had we not booked a VRBO. I also wished that we had charted our visit to this restaurant earlier in our stay, so we could come back for a second meal. Several patrons that we talked to in the bar area said the Pour House is known for its incomparable gourmet Hamburgers. They literally raved about them. BUT, I had to try that Pork Chop. Put this restaurant and Florentina's Italia at the very top of your list of the best eateries in all of Branson, to break away from the national chain experience. Also don't miss the Food Truck Park on 76, featuring Dre's Japanese Kitchen and Keleke Hawaiian BBQ. Won't disappoint.
I went there on a recommendation from Laura after she gave me a great spa treatment at Foot and Bucket in Branson.. I arrived around 3:45. I love the street it is located on. I wanted mainly two items… a salad and a steak. The salad was deliciously fresh. The only steak on the menu was a skirt steak… not my favorite cut of meat… but I wanted steak so I ordered it. My waitress told me that they only cook it to medium rare… perfect for me! It came with some awesome fries as the side.. I have to tell you, the steak was cooked to medium-rare perfection! And, tender! I could cut it with my butter knife. I devoured it! I even enjoyed a Smoked Peach Old-fashioned. I definitely recommend this place! And, I found out that they do have my favorite steak-prime rib-only on the weekends menu! I will definitely be back!
Based upon reviews we visited the restaurant on our last night in the area. We were not disappointed and wished it was not our last night. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I had the blackened mahi and my husband had fish and chips. Highly recommend.
Went in and was seated quickly. That's where the good part ends. We sat there for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. If it was busy, I would understand, but there were servers just standing around talking while we sat there. We got up and left. We went to a nearby restaurant from there and had a great experience.
We had they fish and chip and the batter was amazing. The bacon burger was one of the best I have ever had and the kettle chips were unique, crunchy and flavorful
