I wish I could give this place 5 stars because the service was wonderful and the food tasted amazing. I even said out loud while eating, “this is the best sushi I’ve ever had.” We came here to celebrate my best friend’s birthday — it was me, my best friend, her fiancé, and my fiancé. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was great, and everything about the experience in the moment felt perfect.
Unfortunately, about 12 hours after eating, things took a turn. I became incredibly sick with food poisoning — vomiting and other symptoms that lasted through the night. At first I didn’t connect it to the restaurant because the food had been so good, but the next morning I learned that both my best friend and her fiancé had the same reaction. The only one who didn’t get sick was my fiancé, who doesn’t like sushi and only had chicken fried rice.
This was the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. It was so intense it felt like it would never end. While I appreciate the service and how delicious everything was, I can’t overlook what happened afterward. For that reason, I have to give 1 star.

Best food in Jefferson County, Imperial, MO. We eat here at least once a month, and often get take out. This review was 7 years ago. Quality and service have dropped. I would now give a 3. I hope current owner recovers. I still eat here and enjoy food. But it is not as clean and well run as it was 7 years ago.

Fuji never disappoints. Fast, friendly service and affordable delicious sushi. What more could you ask for?
Always a great experience here at Fuji Sushi. I've tried Miyabi, Osaka and J Sushi as well but this place has a more intimate dining experience and my favorite roll, the Spice Girl. I get the Gyoza to start with and then use the leftover sauce with one of their many $5 rolls. My girlfriend's favorite is the yellowtail with scallion, she says it definitely beats Miyabi's.
I'm really happy to have such a quality place so close to home.

Just took home an order of philli roll, jazz roll and a spicy tuna roll. The Jazz roll had a piece of plastic in it I almost choked on. Looked like the cut off edge of a soy sauce packet. Will never go here again. Beware of choking hazards in your rolls.
