We go down the the shut inns and elephant rock 1-2 times a year. We always stop at the Iron Mule, the food is always amazing. Now here’s what’s better you beer drinking a keep reading. Mojo the manager keeps a WIDE selection of craft beer. Fruit beers, IPAs, stouts, vanilla beer! We’ve been coming for years. We will be going for years!

Chill place, clean (including bathrooms), good music selection, good service, tender meat, crispy breading and fries, good use of seasonings (including on fries), and free wifi

I am a massively picky eater, but the only fault I could find with my food was that it was drier than I prefer (though it was by no means dry for the average tongue)

Vacationing in lesterville, was looking for awesome pizza, I live in ohio, and have had pizza all over the country, the iron mule has the best HOT HONEY pizza I've ever had, will be going out of my way anytime I'm in Missouri for a pie, Shae was who took the order, also very awesome

The food is great. But the service is atrocious. It takes forever for someone to take your order on the bar side. The other side may be better.

I had the Philly steak last night it was amazing! The restaurant business is really tough, but I have to brag on this place. 💪💪

Very tasty, relatively simple American cuisine.

Melt your face off wing sauce is actually somewhat spicy -- a rarity in the American Midwest. I'm there for it.

Fries were surprisingly good with reasonable crunch for their size.

Chicken tenders don't feel produced in a factory somewhere. Very thin, good breading. Could use a bit more crunch, but are very good.

For nachos, BBQ sauce is sweet (in some people's opinion, too sweet), the jalapenos were (at least in this occasion) spicier then most. Felt like upscaled football stadium nachos in the best possible way.

Inexpensive, great service.

We'll be back by whenever we're in the area hiking.

We had a great day at Elephant Rock Park and decided to do as we always do and stop and eat at a place that we've never been before. When we first walked in, it took about 5 minutes for us to be seated, not recognized. Everyone actually looked shocked that we were there. The service continued to be slow. Then the food came out. The spinach dip was watery, cheesy and unseasoned. The onion rings were bland, how is that even possible and unseasoned onion ring. Even the pulled porked on my potato was bland and unseasoned. It was just inedible and I sent it back along with a request to have the item removed from our bill. I normally have a great or decent review for restaurants but my best experience here was leaving.
