My first time here at Bayou was great. Service was excellent, good atmosphere, and the servings. My gosh the servings, they are huge. If you get an appetizer (to share, don't tackle one yourself) and just the main item with no sides you will be golden. I got the smoked pork steak and while it was a little dry (but that's pork, I won't hold it against them) the sauce was amazing but be sure to ask for extra sauce. Their blackened shrimp are amazing as well. I'd say definitely worth stopping in on an empty stomach and bring friends if you want to finish off an appetizer.

Waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. Watched 3 different tables that were sat down after us get their food well before us. Questioned the 1st time waitress and her immediate response was “well it’s not my fault”. Well let’s maybe tell us exactly what is going on……..2nd time asked the waitress we were told they were finishing it up. 3 of us received our food at different times, one order was never brought out. What food was brought out was luke warm at best. The manager I guess said it was the waitress 2nd day……….for being a 2nd day waitress, you could tell she’s been there longer than 2 days, I paid attention to every other table around us she worked, and worked the register like someone who has been doing it for quite some time………DO NOT LIE TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Manager tried to make it right so “we’d come back again”. After an experience like that, we all decided that won’t be the case.

Being an out of state northern boy, I was greeted with that southern hospitality. I ended up buying a round for the locals and was invited back for the big as your face pork steak!!! I will be back!!!

I’m just going start off on a positive saying our waitress was amazing. The food on the other hand, I got the pork steak and yes it was tender but it was drowned in bbq sauce which it didn’t need to be. The gator tail was chewy and the breading wasn’t seasoned. The tatties breading wasn’t seasoned either and had cheese smothered on top which yes gave it some flavor but not what it could of been. For the price you guys charge for your food you would think it would be good or at least worth the 60 dollars we paid. I came because of the americas best food video and how he praised the food. Man was I disappointed. The only thing that was ok was the shrimp po boy. I’m not one to complain but I would honestly ask for a refund back. Again I don't like to complain but we didn't eat half of the food. We've been out there before and it has been good. Maybe it was an off night.

Great food we got the smokehouse skins app which were huge and delicious and crunchy. My wife got some kind of brisket sandwich and it was great and full of flavor. I went with the gumbo also very good the blackened shrimp in it were top notch and cooked just right. Service was great as well. If you leave this place hungry you did it wrong. Portions were substantial. Great little place, 100% worth the small detour off of hwy 55. Check it out you will be glad you did.

Gumbo and wings were delicious, and the server handled our 8-person group with a smile.

One of the best bowls of gumbo that I have had in a long time. Beautiful looking too, with the blackened shrimp on top. I tell you what, it made this old truck driver’s soul happy…very friendly staff too. I highly recommend this place!Parking: They allowed me to park my rig out back. The lot could easily handle busses or RVs.

The food wasn't very Cajun no spice it was supposed to be at least that's what the waitress said but nope it had good flavor but I didn't think it even close to Cajun. Waitress was not very good she really liked her phone more than getting a good tip no refills unless you called her
