We found this little gem right off of the highway traveling home from the lake on a Sunday afternoon. It did not disappoint! I had the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and salad bar. All for $12.99! It is rare to find a self serve salad bar anymore. Homemade Deviled eggs on the bar was a plus. My huuby tried breakfast. He had the country fried steak. Everything was tasty with good portion sizes and friendly staff. We will be back!
Hidden Gem yo!!!!! Not exactly off the interstate, but close enough. The service dude from Heritage Tractors in Lockwood, Mo, recommended this place. He said he knew about it, because he used to live out here. Any who, I had the 8 oz ribeye special. $12.99, I believe, because of it's size, I thought I'm gonna chew on this like gum. NOPE!!!! Fantastic throwback of a truck stop cafe! Felt like it was a stop right out of Smokey The Bandit. Completely old school cafe feel with excellent hand made mood. I got the cheeseburger and shoestring Suzie Q potatoes and a slice of pie the size of my face and it was all a treat!
