Came in after church today, something we do regularly. Before we were even seated, the hostess made a point to say, “It’s going to be a wait today.” That warning didn’t line up with what we saw. Roughly five tables occupied, multiple empty tables throughout the dining area, and the bar barely active. After sitting for several minutes, a waitress walked by with drinks for another table and repeated the same line — “It will be a minute.” We left. Not because it was busy. Not because we don’t like the food. We left because the staff clearly signaled that even at low capacity, attentive service wasn’t happening. If a handful of cars in the parking lot qualifies as “too busy” to properly seat and serve guests, that’s important information for anyone considering eating here. Pro tip: count the vehicles in the lot before walking in — it may tell you more than the hostess does.
