My family and I from out of state. We were in the area for my mom‘s funeral who grew up in Kennett in the 60s. We were looking for a place to have lunch afterwards, and came across this special place. They aren’t open for lunch on Saturdays, but agreed to open for our larger party. I can’t say enough good things about our time spent at the Downtown Bistro. The inside is very charming and one wall is covered with historical pictures from the town. Our servers name was Jade, and she took excellent care of us. Request her station if you’re there for a meal. She was so kind, got all of our orders correct, and never let our glasses go empty. The food was really good too! We loved the toasted ravioli and alligator bites for appetizers. The drinks were good and very reasonably priced. Everyone seemed to get a different meal, but I know there were zero complaints. Everything came out perfectly made. I had the pasta carbonara and it was decadent. We are so appreciative to the owners and staff for making a very difficult day a little brighter. Our mom would’ve loved dining there with us!

Worst experience I’ve had in my entire life, we sat down and weren’t waited on and sat for 45 minutes. The waitress helped every single person besides us and took customers order that arrived after us without every acknowledging us once. We got up and walked out, I highly don’t recommend on a Friday night as you won’t be helped.
