This is a true 5 star review. Great experience overall at Downtown Bistro. Came in 45 minutes before close, a bit under dressed, but still greeted warmly. Menu is pretty vast, I chose the daily special New York strip steak with asparagus and loaded baked potato based on waitress recommendation. Did not disappoint! The steak was tender and cooked just right with great seasonings. I hardly ever order steak because I'm a bit snobby with steak and don't think most places cook it well. When I do order steak, I never order New York strip. But I was pleasantly surprised with the best New York strip steak I've ever had! Asparagus was good and so was potato. With tax and tip it was about $32. The owner came out and spoke with me for a while. Good conversation. I'll be back for sure and want to try the steak pasta dish next time. You should absolutely try Downtown Bistro.

One of my favorite places to eat in Kennett. They have the best mixed drinks, if you haven’t tried the Gypsie Juice, you definitely should! All the food is great, that being said, you may have to wait a while for your order when they are busy. But, it is always worth the wait. The portion sizes are huge so I always need a to go box. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything that I didn’t like.

I hate that I didn't get the waitresses name, but she was awesome. She was very attentive and said thank you all of the time. The food was even better! I had the seafood platter and the steak and shrimp pasta to go.
