Isabel Cunningham was absolutely amazing!! Perfect Service with a beautiful smile!!! Amazing employee.
We come EVERY week for trivia with Tom (who we love and is the sole reason we me make the 30 minute trek out from us to see). Forcing him to do 15 questions per round instead of 20 just makes it feel like the owners do not want us and want to get us and everyone else out. It doesn’t feel welcoming and we are strongly considering doing another trivia night somewhere else with tom.
Great food and great service.
All the food here is top notch! Being going here for over 25 years and it's just as good now as it was then. From their pizza to appetizers, dinners to burgers, all are spectacular. But their pizza is excellent and their burgers are some of the best in St. Louis!! Great for lunch and or dinner. They also have a great private dining room for private events for up to about 100 people. Parking can be tight in the evenings and most especially on weekends, but what makes it not bad is it's nestled in the middle of downtown Kirkwood, so walking the area is nice and quaint.
Food was burnt and the waiter said sorry when I asked for it redone
Be aware that a CC surcharge is added to your invoice. This practice is against the rules that the merchant agreed to when signing on to use the CC service. Here's one reason: The surcharge is not noted on the menu or on the cash register or on the entry door. Some of this is required by certain CC companies. the customer is not informed of this charge until presented with the final invoice. Also, Visa is far more restrictive in the agreement because it forbids applying the surcharge when do a normal exchange. This means that in some circumstances, such as Door Dash of a telephone order, some surcharges are allow. But not if your normal business is a diner comes in sits down and eats in.
We went for dinner as a family with a couple of kids. This place is a Kirkwood institution, and I think that is it's biggest problem. We went fully knowing it was a sports bar and expected good service, decent food, and a casual atmosphere. We got 2 of the 3. The service was friendly, acceptably quick for a busy evening, and without mistakes. The atmosphere was good for a sports bar except for the disgusting carpet and filthy high chair, but nothing a wet-wipe can't fix, again, acceptable for a sports bar.
The food on the other hand was awful. Airport vending machine food is better. Understaffed chain restaurants are better. Canned rations are better. The kids food came out on lava-hot plates but somehow the food was cold in the middle. I got the patty melt which consisted of a hockey puck, raw onions, a whisper of cheese, and cold bread. My spouse got the french dip that looked like a 3 day old grocery store sub. Just gross.
Mike Duffy's is emblematic with what is wrong with downtown Kirkwood. It was/is very successful and has rode on it's reputation by doing the same thing without any change, innovation, or quality control. It's tired but still packed because people are just used to going.
Pretty good. The waitress was amazing. I got the chicken wins as an appetizer, and the patty melt and chili as my entree. The chicken wings were not great, although I am a little biased as I don't like chicken wings myself. The patty melt and chili were great, though. There was also some live music that could use an upgrade.
Parking: A lot of spots across two parking lots, one next to the restaurant and one across from it, and they are always packed. There are also free parking spots on the street.

We went the restaurant on Saturday early- before lunch started. Had just buried my Mom and tried to find a place for us to gather. Walked in and the place was empty- they were not nice and scattered us so far apart. Epic fail and they should appreciate the business but we were treated as we were a pain in the azz. The food was sub-par at best. The manager was extremely rude and servers were as well. To all my St. Peter Catholic Church friends - advise is stay away from Duffy’s!

Went with a group from work. We had a nice room off to the side. Food was excellent. I had the reuben plenty of corned beef. Service could have been better we had to find her for refills on soft drinks.
