Peppe’s will take you on a journey of fine dining experience at a fraction of the cost compared to some places. The atmosphere, service, and food are exceptionally good.
Highly recommended.

Peppe's Apt. 2 was outstanding from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant, warm, and inviting - perfect for a special night out. The appetizer's alone set the bar high - the cannelloni and shrimp scampi were absolutely delicious. The salad was fresh and perfectly balanced.
For the main course, the ribeye with gorgonzola was cooked to perfection - rich, tender and bursting with flavor - paired with beautiful cone mashed potatoes, which were creamy and unforgettable.
And the dessert? To die for. The perfect ending to an incredible dining experience!
The owner was attentive, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more special.

My husband and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary with the most delicious decadent amazing dinner. Service was top notch and the food was out of this world! They made us feel so special and made sure we were spoiled! And even gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to help celebrate. This will always be our favorite spot.
We even held our daughter’s bridal shower here. I can’t recommend this beautiful place highly enough!

Not sure there is a better Italian spot in a city that’s full of them… food and service, consistently 5 stars. Our go to special occasion spot for wife and I these days.. don’t see it changing anytime soon either

I was impressed. This place is run by Romans. I was married to an Italian for a decade and have spent many years traveling to Italy once a year. I assure you this is an authentic Italian meal. Check it out.

The restaurant is physically lovely. We adored the large chandeliers. We had two starters: the escargot and the carpaccio. Both were to die for and presented well. Entrees were the well-known halibut and the lamb chops. Both were well seasoned and delicious. Because it was our anniversary, we received a cool surprise, a lit sparkler (what fun!) with a small bottle of Lamarca Proosecco. We were planning to have a Dessert Trio, but the day's events of wine tasting had filled our stomachs full. I can only imagine the decadence of what we missed. Get there early, it does become a bit loud as the evening progresses. Only a small parking lot, but there is some free street parking. One final thought: this was the best dining experience that we have had as a couple in the past few years. It is truly fantastic and a destination spot for a special occasion.
We’ve morphed to Italy. This was a very fun lunch and we didn’t get kicked out. Typically, they don’t let us in a nice spot. Too many shenanigans. This is an elevated and elegant spot. We had a little wine for lunch. The halibut and all of its buttery glory is the best thing on the menu! #stlouispescatarianappproved Protip: keep some bread to sop up the sauce that comes on the halibut. They call that “Fare La Scarpetta” in Italy, showing appreciation by not wasting the sauce. My friends got some flesh, the carpaccio, and they seemed to enjoy it. The service was fantastic. So much fun.

Their website directed me to make a reservation through Open Table, which I did, and apparently it makes AN OUTSIDE DINING reservation instead. On the day of the actual reservation, I received a phone call that I was welcome to sit outside but there was no seating available inside. And my reservation was being cancelled. I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance because it was our 20th wedding anniversary!!!! After reading other reviews, I’m not the first person that this has happened to. Be weary when and if you make a reservation at Peppe’s Apt 2. Since they cancelled our reservation, we did not and will not be taking our business there.

I don't know how you could execute fine Italian dining any better than this.

The food is SO delicious! The waiter was great!
But they need to put down rugs or carpet or something. The noise was horrible. We couldn’t hear each other and the waiter couldn’t hear us. We will not return unless we can sit outside.

Don't miss this gem of Italian restaurants, with tastes from the Hill brought to Pepe's Apt 2. I go as often as I can, and love to start with the Trio appetizer!
