Our first visit! We were the only couple when we walked in today mid-morning. The menu had so much to offer-the decision was hard. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Pork Belly. I was not previously a fan of pork belly but this was really good. The fried green tomatoes were delicious too. We also ordered breakfast. The names of the dishes were entertaining-I cannot remember the names but my scrambled eggs with a bell pepper medley covered in white cheese sauce filled me up!. The sausage gravy was spot on-well done Daryl! He came out and introduced himself-his food was wonderful. Lexi-our server, was very friendly and maintained a great attitude as the restaurant filled up for lunch. Out came Daryl to help! Very friendly and welcoming place. We wish it the best-cant wait to return

The Olde Town South restaurant is an unexpected treasure! Great food, a wonderful server, Cheyenne, and a beautiful restaurant. The combination of flavors and quality of food is excellent and surprising for central Missouri. If you haven't eaten here, you are missing out.

3 stars is for the waitress, she was so friendly! Food was gross not worth the $50 for 2 breakfast skillets with a half order of biscuits and gravy. The eggs were wet and undercooked, small portion of hashbrowns, biscuits have definitely been frozen.

Olde Town South surprised me in a very positive way. I've become accustomed to lowering my expectations for small town restaurants, but that wasn't necessary at Olde Town. As soon as I walked in I realized this was not your ordinary small town diner restaurant. The wood finishes were better. The acoustic tile ceiling was better. The decor was better. And the lighting....the lighting was spot on. Someone had really put some thought into designing this space, which includes outdoor dining as well. I was impressed with the menu and the fact it's open seven days a week, B/L/D. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich served on a pretzel bun with bacon jam on the side along with fries. The tenderloin was not one of those ridiculously large pieces of meat, but rather an appropriately sized cut that was perfectly breaded and fried deliciously crisp. My server was friendly and efficient. Next time I'm in Knob Noster I'll definitely dine here again.

Hands down the best burgers in knob. The fries are great with a big portion, for a reasonable price. Service was great, people are nice. This will be my new regular spot.

On what was an Anniversary supper expecting a special meal turned into a heart burn evening out for my husband and I. It being not the 1st time, I knew the food was very good, until this time. I ordered a steak, baked potato, and I was all ready for their delicious fried Okra and fried green tomatoes. Was told they were out of those fried vegetables. Very disappointed. Husband order was the ham steaks, which looked like it was sandwich meat heated up with Cole slaw and seasonal asparagus. Meal arrived, waitress didn't even wait for me to check the doneness of the steak; which we had to ask for steak knives. Was told they were out of steak sauce as well. Waitress never came back to see how our meal was going or offer more refreshments. The management that evening spoke to all customers but us.The baked potato was hardly warm, and the pad of butter never melted. We had to ask for the side of Cole slaw after our meal was half-way eaten. Steak was also lukewarm.I know their lunch hour of their hamburgers are wonderful! But, THIS time?? A rating doesn't even deserve 1 star. Very disappointed. It hurts me to post this, but people need to know what to expect or I should say not expect. I have a background of being a waitress and know that the little things matter waiting on your customers. And it reflects on the entire restaurant.

I WANT to like this place. It's nice inside and the menu has fun choices. Food and service...not great. No refills were given without asking for them. I had brisket which was tough, and not much flavor. I was brought loaded mashed potatoes (I ordered regular). Mashed potatoes were quickly replaced, I'll give them that and the young man bringing out the food (not our server), seemed very hard working. I will say that I believe the menu should list all things included (brisket did not say it had BBQ sauce or scallions) for allergy and/or food preference or be included on the side where it can be used if wanted. My husband got the Holy Grail Mac & Cheese. He was extremely disappointed in the amount of brisket included in the dish for the price ($18), he said it was spicy (and he usually likes spicy) but nothing on the menu indicated it would be.We were also told it was too late to get a military discount when the payment device was still on the same screen as it was when server set it down. This was our third visit and two in a row were not great.

I really want to like this place and what it means to have an upper-scale southern restaurant in a small town. The service and atmosphere are always on point but the food and lack of quality control has progressively and rapidly declined in my visits that I've thrown in the towel from coming here again. In my recent visit, I'd ordered their sirloin, it was dry, sour with a mealy texture, perhaps freezer burn and marinated for too long. Their fries are heavily oversalted to inedibility. Chicken tenders are cooked perfectly and juicy but with no seasoning or flavor. The dining experience was simply dissapointing and a reminder that my previous visits where of similar effect.I can't justify paying these prices for poorly executed dishes and missed flavors. It's unfortunate since the waitstaff are always lovely and the menu offers so much promise.

I've gone to the restaurant 4 times in the last 3 months. I've gotten their Friday night Prime rib special. Only thing good there is the prime rib. 3 out of 4 times the loaded baked potato was not even done or over cooked. Skin felt like leather.. I spoke to a waitress that served me last 3 out of the 4 times. Med height ,blond and skinny. Very polite. Very good. I've told her that Prime Rib is spot on. Everything else isn't that good. Her service was good. The communication from front to back needs to be a lot better. Bread pudding can be a lot better. I think I got the last piece. I'm from KCK and drive over 1 1/2 hours 1 way to do business. I told them I would give them another chance and still come up short. 3 outta 4 times not good. I believe they can do it. 1 more time. We will see. Other food is probably great. I know you say try something else. But, no. I like there Prime rib. They have to make it right if it's their Friday night special.

Friday fish fry special was bland and dry. All 4 meals at our table were unimpressive. However the staff was very nice and attentive, and the food came out pretty quick. We'll try it again, but with completely different meals.

It's just ok, I had the fried chicken special. It was moist, but had absolutely zero flavor! Their fries are good. And the FGTs (fried green tomatoes) were the star of the show. All in all not bad. Will go back.
