Always delicious, a good place to go and celebrate any promotion or an engagement or really anything. The drinks are wonderful and along with the food. If you're going to get something for dessert you should really try the bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The Hawthorne Inn is one of the best restaurants just outside of the St. Louis area. My boyfriend and I make the drive out from St. Charles, MO. The service is always exceptional, and the food is absolutely amazing. I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like. Their house salad is one of my favorites. Great fried spinach! Stuffed Chicken breast was amazing! My husband got the grouper I was not a fan of the relish topping but that's a personal preference. It was slightly too tart for me. My husband liked it.
Two others in our party got steak sandwiches which were good but both were not cooked too the requested temperature. Pizza was delicious, cheese bread was great, chicken sandwiches were fantastic!!
