Baxter's Lakeside Grille

This place is pretty. The service is all sweet as well. But the food could've been so good. It was terribly salty. I wanted to puke. Less salt chef. Way less. It was gross only because it was terribly over salted. My husband got a ribeye and I got the scallops. Both were so salty but cooked very well. It's conflicting a bit. We like salt btw. But not the whole Shaker.

Overall great experience. Food was fantastic! We ordered drink right before our dinner came. I think they had our waitress overloaded because it took forever for them to but overall she was great as well. Music made it a little loud. Others tables trying to talk over the music. We will go back for sure.

We’ve been coming here for years, but the quality has clearly gone downhill. Tonight was the final straw.

I stopped in after the dinner rush and sat at the bar. The server was attentive and did their job well. I ordered a burger medium well—not a complicated request.

The first burger came out medium rare. The server agreed and sent it back. A few minutes later, a second burger arrived. I cut into it, and it was rare—cold, raw ground beef mashed together.

Two chances, same mistake, worse the second time. This isn’t a minor hiccup; it’s basic cooking and food safety. After years of coming here, this was enough to make me done.

Short ribs with polenta were excellent. Bbq back ribs are always great as well. Highly recommend.

Luncheon prices are quite reasonable, especially given quality & freshness of food. Service is certainly among the best in Lake region.

Kathy & I find Baxter's to be a superlative escape from the day's news, or inclement weather, or whatever it is that is pulling us down. Even dismal weather becomes a delight when viewed from the panoramic windows -- at least until it comes time to drive home in it.

Dinner prices are more of what you would expect for fine dining. But lunch? Baxter's is a place for retirees to make lunch an event while keeping costs under control.

Great food, service and the sunset views were spectacular!

We unexpectedly arrived super early for our reservations, had a seat at the bar where we ordered an appetizer (crab cakes - which was delicious) & drinks while we waited to be seated at our table. We were seated early and when they seated us they came to the bar and informed us our table was ready and carried our appetizer & drinks to our table for us. Our dinner was great, we both ordered steak which was both cooked perfect, my salad was one of the best I ever had. My only complaint is I was to full to think about dessert, so we did not even get something to go.. Next time for sure..

Great food and service! Enjoyed a perfect halibut special and the best views of the main channel!!!

We enjoyed our time at Baxter's Lakeside Grill. Scott did an excellent job serving us. The hostess took our picture when we entered the restaurant, but we never received a copy. I ordered a frozen drink, but when I received it, it seemed like it was sitting for some time before I received it. Normally it is red and yellow, but this time it was all red. Our food was great, well done. The birthday dessert was excellent. Great job.

Place smells like fish. You want fish, go there. You want a steak, cooked the way you want, go somewhere else.

We love Baxter's! You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. The food is always absolutely delicious, the service is always wonderful. The people that work in this restaurant are always friendly and have a smile on their face. They go the extra mile and take your picture on a special occasion, and have it framed at your table upon your departure.

Food and service outstanding. Requested a view to celebrate a birthday! Beautiful! Got shrimp cocktail as appetizer. And all meals were great. Got the Salmon, Ahi Tuna, and Stuffed Tilapia!!
