Baxter's Lakeside Grille

Great menu selection. Food was good although I don't think my sea bass was fully cooked. Friends steak was very good and so were the appetizers.

Went there for our anniversary, food was amazing and our service Janice did an excellent job. View of the lake at sunset was beautiful. I had put in the notes that it was our anniversary and the hostess immediately recognized that it was our anniversary. We will definitely be back!

Our dining experience at Baxter's was phenomenal. The food was incredible everything was absolutely delicious the menu was extensive with lots of variety and choices. The service was a bit slow. We had a party of eight but this is definitely my favorite place at the ozarks!

From the moment we walked in to when we left the place was wonderful!! Service was fantastic! The food was sooo delicious!! We celebrated a birthday and the server took our picture and printed it and framed it!!

Everything was excellent, as usual!! Our server Eric did an especially great job. We always enjoy our summer outing to Baxters!

What a wonderful place to have dinner and bring guests that have never been there before. Eric was a wonderful server and great person to direct us through the process. My strong recommendation to have a wonderful time when you're at the lake of Ozark's!! Very personal

Baxters never disappoints. I was not expecting it to be particularly busy but they were able to get us in and still serve us a delicious meal.

Love coming to Baxter's when we are at the lake especially when my daughter who has celiac is with us as they serve a gluten free fried calamari that is delicious. This time she remarked about the number of options she had to choose from the menu Well done Baxter's very few places at the lake offer good quality gluten free food options.

Baxter's is our GO TO date night spot when we are at the lake. They never disappoint and the gooey butter cake with cinnamon ice cream dessert can't be beat!

Food is always fresh, well cooked, and presented nicely. Steaks were of high quality and perfectly cooked. Restaurant views of the Lake are top notch. Server seemed a bit stressed, as drink refills were difficult to get, our young kids never received their ice cream (which was included with their kids meal), and dessert was never offered to the adult members at our table.

When we first got there, the restaurant was very cold, but they did finally adjust the temperature for us. The food was fantastic as always. The salads could have been better with a different lettuce but the steaks and seafood were incredible. Sam was a great server and took good care of us. This restaurant has always had wonderful food and a fantastic view. Unfortunately, the view we got this time was more towards the back of the restaurant and we had a construction site as well as like to watch .

Visited on 7/30/25 with 8 pm reservation. We were seated immediately at 8 near the windows as requested. We had the Chipotle Shrimp appetizer and Chef's cut with zucchini & smashed potatoes and Caesar salad. It was all so delicious and fresh. Steak was cooked to order and since I was celebrating a birthday Kevin brought us a goey butter cake for dessert and even took our photo and printed for a souvenir of the visit. Hi service was outstanding and we appreciated him immensely. Please keep up the good work. Baxter's is top notch. We will be back.

Do not book your reservations for Baxter‘s on OpenTable. The host ridiculed us for using the app as opposed to calling to make a reservation. We had a reservation at 6:15 but we're told we had to wait till 645 for our table. There were several open tables we could've sat at but they made us wait. Once seated, we waited 15 minutes for our waiter to approach us. He seemed less than enthused to be there. Food was great as always, but service was not.
