Dinner was terrific and we surprisingly had the place to ourselves! It would be a fabulous place in the summertime with wonderful water views. The smell from the large fireplace out front only added to the winter atmosphere.
HK's buffet dinner was included in a New Years Eve package. We made our reservation and I was surprised when we were seated at a communal table with people we didn't know. They were lovely people but it wasn't noted on any of the restaurant details. Food was just not great; steak was cold, shrimp unseasoned, and things on the cold station just ran out. Service, although they were trying hard it just didn't seem like they planned for the event. Our poor server was overwhelmed and that forced us to bus our own table and go to the bar for our own drinks. I was disappointed at best!
The food was very good. We were at the New Year Eve party and did not appear to have enough bartenders. Took a long time to get our drinks. Everything else was fine.
Everything was perfect except that one server wasn't enough to work on all the tables by herself. Our table alone had 10 people. We all felt bad for her!! We arrived at 7pm and we got our food at 9pm. Server herself was amazing and tried everything to makes us feel good. Also kudos to the chef the food was excellent!!!
Food was great and they kept the buffet full of fresh food. Very impressed and will go for Xmas
Went for the Thanksgiving buffet- hands down best ever!! Amazing selections, amazing service, and amazing food quality. Can't wait for next year.
We went last Saturday for my birthday. Waited over 30 min for our drinks and when we flagged down the bartender, who previously came by our table to discuss options, she acted very confused and a little irritated we grabbed her and she said rudely that she would grab our server. She claimed the ticket was lost. Which fine sure that happens but that means it’s been over 30 min of you not even checking on us! And we got apps before our drinks. Maybe there were 4 other tables in the whole restaurant so definitely not busy. Very very disappointing. Food was just okay definitely not worth what was paid. Will not be going back.

First of all never asked if we had reservations- just seated us - after that I received a text asking if we were on the way - I had to go stand at greeters station while employees just looked at me until the other server came asked what I needed- Order two meals Meat on both meals meat not cooked like we asked for - Got meals but had to wait about 10 minutes on o e of the side item Server never returned to our table - net even to give refill on soda or check in Just came with the bill- I have visit here b4 and this visit was way below acceptable.
We came for my friends 40th, and it was so… underwhelming.. Food was.. okay. The live music was nice. But the service (besides what I assume to be the manager who was coming to bring the actual food),
I feel the waitress and the person who set us had an attitude like they did not want to be there and they did not want us to be there. Paid $100 plus to get Mediocre service. Beautiful concept just maybe needing more training on service.

My family went down around 8pm to celebrate my birthday with dinner, drinks, and live music. We were seated promptly and then greeted with water that was aggressively placed on the table with not a word spoken. We waited for about 20 minutes and still no one had come to our table to greet us or take our drink order. At this time we decided it was time to leave and find somewhere else to go. Staff saw us get up and leave and still no words were said. Very disappointing.

This place actually has good food. We ordered to go from them last night and had no issues. Food was good. Order was timely. We were impressed, considering the mediocre reviews. After a long day at the pool today, and with it being Saturday and busy everywhere else, we decided to make reservations at HK’s for dining in this time. When we arrived, we were warned of a 45 top that was slowing down the kitchen, but we were fine with a longer wait for our food as we had plenty of catching up to do. What we didn’t expect was to be given our drinks and ignored completely for the next thirty minutes. When I was finally able to flag down our waitress, Barbara, and ask why everyone else had bread at their table but us, she snapped, “You have to ask for it.” Which is the first time in my 39 years that a restaurant has told me that. (FYI, we saw you exactly once in our first forty minutes, Barbara. When would you have liked us to ask you?)
Everything we asked Barbara for tonight—the few times she did bother to come to our table—was met with attitude and condescension. She made it very clear she didn’t care to serve us or treat us with even a shred of decorum as she was making plenty of tips on her 45 top, so I gave Barbara’s tip to the musicians who were entertaining us this evening. Barbara, here’s my tip for you. I suggest you find a different career path. You are by far the rudest, most disrespectful waitress I have ever encountered.
Honestly though, it’s my fault! I shouldn’t have scheduled a 45 top during dinner on a Saturday night in the only restaurant at the hotel serving dinner, with only three waitresses working. Perhaps, if I hadn’t done that, Barbara wouldn’t have been so pissed at us, and would’ve provided better service. I’m sorry, Barbara. I’m sorry, HK’s. I will do better.

Overall, not a great experience. The only good part of the night was the appetizers. We got the potstickers and onion rings, which came out fast and were delicious. Everything else was disappointing. The live music was nice but way too loud and didn’t fit the atmosphere of the restaurant. I ordered the burger and was expecting a normal bar style burger. Instead I was given a burnt hockey puck that was hardly edible. I would’ve gotten a better burger if we had gone to a fast food place. There was only one server for the entire dining room (management issue), so we hardly saw her and waited forever for the check. Will not be going back.

Good food, great waiting staff, and very peaceful ambiance. Loved our experience there overall.
We like coming here while staying at the lodge. Then we can just go to our room without driving home. Food is good and service is excellent, friendly. The Pasta Prima Vera was excellent with shrimp and wild mushrooms. The angus pasta was delicious. Be sure to order the S'mores dessert! It's nice to have music as well.
