So we had a reservation at 630 pm. We ordered a few drinks and the Manhattan that I ordered was way too strong to drink. I had to return that one and ordered a different drink. The ginger salmon was just ok and the sirloin was cooked correctly, but it was just a bad cut of meat. It just wasn't great quality. For as high as they charge for drinks and food, you would think it would taste better. There is a reason why the rating for this place is only 3.6.In my opinion it is definitely overrated and overcharging people. The steak at Outback was better than this. We won't be back.

I had the build your own Omelet and orange juice. The Omlet came with hash browns and a bagel. It was worth the price.

The food was really good delivered in a reasonable time hot and fresh really good burger cooked to the right temperature and beef seasoned well. Toasted bun, with the works lettuce tomato pickles onions and fries crispy and delicious. My coworker had shrimp and grits she's a picky eater and thought it was delicious. My husband really liked his pizza and he knows his way around a good one. The waitress was very friendly and helpful good service fairly priced. A quiet atmosphere with low lighting and a beautiful view it could be quite pleasant. Well chosen seating beautiful decor. Make for an enjoyable evening

To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The bartender (who was very sweet and did her best) was also the hostess and server. The place got busy fast and she struggled to keep up. The food was terrible. The shrimp and grits sitting in no less than three tablesspoons of orange grease, the Mayfair salad was a plate of old lettuce drowning in heavy anchovy flavored mayonnaise. The fried turkey with sliced potatoes was cold and greasy. We were there for over two hours. We were offered a 15% discount for our wait. Unfortunately we will not be back. The facility is beautiful and well cared for. The restaurant needs new management.

Took over an hour and a half to get our entrees. Steak arrived cold while salmon was too hot to eat. Terribly understaffed. And our waitress was obviously annoyed. We left without our last course of dessert because we had already spent 2 hours there. Breakfast was the same over an hour to get eggs. They also do not cook orders as they are recieved on both occassions tables who came in after us recieved their food before us. Our waitress said our card was declined twice upon settling our bill, we called our bank and they said their were no declines. This could be a great restaurant, but the wait staff is unfriendly due to poor working conditions. Please hire more servers and bussers we were sat next to dirty tables at breakfast that sat uncleaned for over an hour.

Have dined here for well over 40 years, including when it was located in the golf course building on highway HH. The turkey steak was one of my favorites. Previously, it was grilled, either in an overhead broiler, or an open charcoal/gas grill. When I received my dinner on this visit, the turkey steak was a pile of fried clump, supposedly the turkey steak. The fried mess was primarily fried batter with some turkey, less then one quarter of an inch thick. Inedible! The accompanying lyonnaise potatoes were disgusting, and the broccoli was cold. My wife had the seafood ravoli that was passable, and a disgustingly inedible sausage and pepperoni pizza. The room was cold requiring us to keep our coats and hats on. There were two employees in the large room, one a bartender and our waitress who doubled as the hostess when we aaarrived. A thoroughly disappointing experience and one that will ensure we will not dine there again.

Stayed for new year's eve, dinner was okay, but breakfast was TERRIBLE. My eggs Benedict were more of hard boiled eggs, just not what I expected...the Canadian bacon was burnt, the only thing I enjoyed about breakfast was coffee.. dinner the night before pretty much the same the pasta was too done, sort of gummy...may I suggest an investment in cook or chef...sad, I spent over 300.00 for one night and the food was terrible...

The food and service were good but the staff were amazing! Met Lenni and Joseph first day, and they made us feel like old friends. The second day, we met Kristen, who was equally as friendly and warm as anyone we have ever met. Outstanding customer service!Parking: Lots of parking around the Lodge that houses the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

My wife and I came for the New Years Eve dinner. The selections for the menu seemed rather limited. I enjoyed the Surf and Turf. The steak was cooked well and to my temp (med). The shrimp was cooked perfect as well. My wife's meal was the shrimp and noodles. She said it had little taste. She said it was like chicken noodle soup with shrimp added. The desert choices were also underwhelming. It was our first time at HK's...

We have been coming to HH and the lodge off and on for about 35 years. Always a good time. Menu has changed from time to time. One we do miss is the deep fried turkey. The best turkey we have tasted anywhere. Should be a permanent choice.

Never had a bad meal here. Range of menu pricing can go from decent to upscale but it's been a tasty experience for me. Attentive bar and service staff couple with solidly laid back live music to create a nice experience for you if you're staging at the lodge or just coming in for a brew and the music. Well worth the visit. I've noticed some negative reviews. Not gonna question them. Just come in during a live music night and I'm betting you have a good time.

If you are desperate and stuck at the lodge with no options, then just know that if you get seated by the windows you will get a nice view (just don't look at the dirty floor) and that's where the positives end. I imagine the servers are not too engaged or into their jobs because they know the food is so terrible. Breakfast was actually frozen food that even smelled like freezer burn. The "sausage" gravy had no sausage in it at all, and somehow they even screwed up basic breakfast potatoes to being inedible. If they charged a bit more but made real food, that would be acceptable. It's unfortunate because it has the template to be good, but just isn't.

Wait staff did not seem enthusiastic about being there. Prime rib tasted excellent and was cooked perfectly. NY strip was cooked perfectly but lacked taste. Drinks were great. Wait staff began vacuuming at 9pm which was a bit distracting. Why not wait until everyone has left?

I asked what the Chef's specialty was and found out it was the Blackened Grouper over Jalapeno Cheese grits. I normally don't order fish but decided to try it and was super happy! Flakey, moist very flavorful with the perfect amount of seasoning over creamy grits. There was a side of buttery green beans with peppers and onions. For $34 it was a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere with fine friends and an excellent staff. I can't wait to go back!
