My husband and I made reservations here to celebrate our 22nd wedding Anniversary. The ambiance was nice. We were feeling great. Our waitress was really nice. The problem was the FOOD. My husband ordered the K.C. Strip WELL DONE. When it came out he cut it and the BLOOD flowed. The waitress gladly took it back for additional cook time. When they brought the steak back to my husband and waited till he cut it, we all looked in DISAPPOINTMENT the steak was now what I'm guessing is medium rare. So for our 22nd Anniversary my husband didn't eat dinner. The waitress apologized and did give him an Anniversary dessert.

Very interesting to be there when a tornado warning is issued. You vividly can see who can manage and who needs some training. The food, service and ambiance becomes secondary to who can handle the stressful situation. JB Hooks needs to review their procedures if they have any.

My family and I enjoyed having dinner at JB Hooks. I can't remember the servers name but she was exceptional!!! Very attentive to our party of 10!! Food was delicious!!! Beautiful view overlooking the lake!!! JBH is our go to when we're in Osage!!! We'll be back soon!!!

Steal was dry and flavorless. Sent it back. Seconds one was not any better. Wife ordered appetizer steak bites. Very tough and flavorless. Had three other people at the table try both dishes since they had pasta. All agreed with dry and flavorless.

Great food, excellent service and fantastic views of the lake. The restaurant is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. The only problem with our last visit was a loud table full of 20 somethings who had a few too many on the golf course before dinner but they lost a lot of their energy as dinner went on.

The floor was nasty. They didn't bother to clean the floor from the prior people that were eating there. The food was alright. But 54 dollars for a tutto mare that was not that flavorful. The drinks were over priced. Not much non alcoholic drinks.

Used to go here quite often when spending time at the lake. Hadn't visited this year until now. We were extremely disappointed in the food. Service was ok, but little things like having to ask for water 3 times after we sat down was how the evening started. There is clearly a new cooking staff at the restaurant because the menu is the same, but the food is not the same. It was disappointing to say the least. I think we will be finding a new restaurant for our future fine dining. Kind of sad because the views and restaurant itself is a great experience.

It was our first time eating at JB Hooks, we went for our anniversary and it was the best food we have had in a long time! The waitresses were very tentative and professional! Overall great experience and we can't wait to go back.
I have been coming to the lake of the Ozarks for many years. I eat out, pretty much every night. JB hooks, never disappoints. It's the best I go to. I always make sure to attend at least once. If you haven't tried it, really need to. It's fabulous

We had a reservation and had to wait an additional 20 mins after reservation time before being seated even though there were plenty of open tables. It took almost 30 mins to get an appetizer after being seated and ordered with drinks. Food took another 30 mins after the appetizer was delivered. While the food was good and ambiance was nice, it was overshadowed by waiting for table and service.

Excellent place to eat. Our steaks were perfect. (The filet). Server was very friendly and did a fine job. Service was a bit slow due to volume. My spouses order was wrong and the replacement took a while to get and then it wasn't very good. The great part was that the owner stopped by apologized, comped her meal and brought desserts for the table. They will always do their best to make things right. One of our GO TO places.

First time for me to dine at JB Hooks. I had the prime rib, which was pretty good. The lettuce wedge salad was almost enough for the meal. I had a small order of wings for an appetizer, which my wife helped me eat. Anthony, our waiter, was on the ball without being bothersome.
