We visit this establishment atleast once a week for date night. Everything & everyone employee is always phenomenal. Highly recommend.

The floor was nasty. They didn't bother to clean the floor from the prior people that were eating there. The food was alright. But 54 dollars for a tutto mare that was not that flavorful. The drinks were over priced. Not much non alcoholic drinks.

Used to go here quite often when spending time at the lake. Hadn't visited this year until now. We were extremely disappointed in the food. Service was ok, but little things like having to ask for water 3 times after we sat down was how the evening started. There is clearly a new cooking staff at the restaurant because the menu is the same, but the food is not the same. It was disappointing to say the least. I think we will be finding a new restaurant for our future fine dining. Kind of sad because the views and restaurant itself is a great experience.

It was our first time eating at JB Hooks, we went for our anniversary and it was the best food we have had in a long time! The waitresses were very tentative and professional! Overall great experience and we can't wait to go back.

I have been coming to the lake of the Ozarks for many years. I eat out, pretty much every night. JB hooks, never disappoints. It's the best I go to. I always make sure to attend at least once. If you haven't tried it, really need to. It's fabulous

We had a reservation and had to wait an additional 20 mins after reservation time before being seated even though there were plenty of open tables. It took almost 30 mins to get an appetizer after being seated and ordered with drinks. Food took another 30 mins after the appetizer was delivered. While the food was good and ambiance was nice, it was overshadowed by waiting for table and service.

Excellent place to eat. Our steaks were perfect. (The filet). Server was very friendly and did a fine job. Service was a bit slow due to volume. My spouses order was wrong and the replacement took a while to get and then it wasn't very good. The great part was that the owner stopped by apologized, comped her meal and brought desserts for the table. They will always do their best to make things right. One of our GO TO places.

First time for me to dine at JB Hooks. I had the prime rib, which was pretty good. The lettuce wedge salad was almost enough for the meal. I had a small order of wings for an appetizer, which my wife helped me eat. Anthony, our waiter, was on the ball without being bothersome.

Waited at a table for almost 25 mins without a waiter asking for our drink order- got up and left- need better service for such a nice place

Wait staff friendly and several servers helped out with table. We ordered four entries with mine being the scallops. I could only eat two due to the amount of saltiness on the scallops and sauce. I decided not to make a scene as it was our guest's birthday and they enjoy your restaurant so much. I have ate at Hooks for many years and this is the only time I have received a dish that was inadequate.

We went to JB for our 25th wedding anniversary knowing we would be spending a lot. We were fine with that as long as the food was good. From the start, the appetizers were fair at best. The calamari was average and the bam bam shrimp tasted like basic fried shrimp. I actually asked for the sauce for the coconut shrimp to give it some flavor. The sauce served with it was just as bland as the shrimp. Not good when your apps are $20. We both ordered the Walleye as this is from the region and we're excited to taste it. The breading was supposed to have a Dijon lemon flavor. It tasted like unflavored wet breadcrumbs. $40 per entree with no flavor is not good business. Our server was great and quickly suggested more flavorful entrees and replaced them with a better choice. This was a very disappointing night. If you are visiting the area, try somewhere else. This is not where you want to drop a large sum of money.

I brought 3 friends from out of town for dinner and the sunset. We celebrated 2 birthdays. Our server, Maxwell was great! He was very helpful in helping with dinner choices! Our food was amazing! 2 of us had the red snapper special and 1 had grouper supreme and 1 had salmon with Beurre blanc sauce. Everyone loved their dish! Sides were delicious and our group especially loved the amaretto carrots! The French onion soup and the Gregory salads were wonderfully done! The sunset was spectacular! The birthday desserts- crème brûlée and cheese cake - were the perfect end to the meal! I was thrilled to share JB Hooks with my friends! Such a wonderful experience!
