“I was in Lake Ozark for a week filming a movie and ended up at The Rusty Rooster for breakfast three times — and I can honestly say it became one of the highlights of my trip. The food is beyond delicious (every plate felt like the perfect start to the day), but what really stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Huge shoutout to Kale, Emily, and Jimi for their friendly service — they made me feel right at home every single visit. And a massive thank you to Angela for not only her kindness but also the adorable Rusty Rooster merch (I couldn’t resist!). If you’re in Lake Ozark, do yourself a favor and stop here for breakfast. Amazing food, even better people. Can’t wait to come back!“

“This place is incredible!! The entire staff from the talented Chef Roxanne to the incredible waitress are all extremely accommodating. I have some allergies I struggle with and they made sure everything I ate was safe and delicious! It was so refreshing knowing they truly cared. I can not say enough good things about this place. “They had outdoor seating near the swimming pool for the inn. The view was spectacular. Kenzie was an excellent server. She was knowledgeable about the daily special and helped guide us to the perfect bottle of wine. We enjoyed a meat and cheese board. Those marinated olives were wonderful.“

“I've been here three or four times. Since 2023. They are a very friendly family. You will hear them laughing while making your food. You can tell they love what they do and do it welk together as a family. The food is eso estuvo delicioso. Absolutely delicious. I put them right up there with El Tapatio Taqeuria inside the mall in Jefferson City. If you are looking for fast, great tasting authentic Mexican. This place and the one at Jefferson City. “Stopping by Andy’s Frozen Custard in Osage Beach, MO, was one of the highlights of my trip! I’d heard great things, but it still exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived, the smell of fresh custard and the lively, inviting atmosphere drew me in. Even with a line, the service was quick and friendly, and the staff seemed genuinely enthusiastic about helping each customer.

I ordered the Ozark Turtle Concrete, and it was absolute heaven in a cup. The custard was rich, creamy, and packed with caramel, pecans, and chocolate – perfectly blended for that smooth, melt-in-your-mouth experience. It was a nice surprise that they offered such generous portions, too! I tried a bite of my friend’s Strawberry Shortcake Sundae, and it was equally delicious, with fresh strawberries and a light, fluffy cake.

The location is also a big plus, right off the main strip and close to the lake, making it a perfect treat stop. Andy’s has plenty of seating outside, so you can enjoy your custard while taking in the Osage Beach vibes. For anyone with a sweet tooth in the area, Andy’s Frozen Custard is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!“

“On 9/12/2025 my husband and I were having dinner at Papa Chubbys. We were there on our motorcycle as it is Bikefest weekend at the lake. My husband had a medical emergency as we were eating. There was not a person that was working there that did not jump in to help us. Our waitress was amazing. The girls that came from behind the bar to call 911, and help us, were amazing. The gentleman that brought candy and a cupcake to help get his blood sugar up, was amazing. The people sitting at the table next to us, I am not sure what I would have done without their help in that moment. They kept me calm, they helped me take care of him. Everything. This place, the staff, the people are absolutely top notch. We will be spending more time and money going forward at Papa Chubbys. Thank all of you for everything.“

“Best Pickle Spears at the lake! It is well known Jolly Rogers has the best breakfast buffet but tonight I have to give a 5 star rating for the amazing pickle spears and food. Never dissappoints!“

“Had one of the best meals we have had at area restaurants after 2 1/2 years in being in the area. Our waiter, Jace, won our “best ever waiter award”. He Explained all our questions and was correct in what he told us. Have definitely won over new customers!!“

“We picked up some pork ribs and a couple of sides last Friday night for dinner. The food was delicious - the rack of ribs was moist and quite tasty. My wife thought the green beans were great and we split the potatoes. Great find!“

“My friends and I were going hiking in Ha Ha Tonka State Park and needed lunch provisions, so I suggested Dierberg’s Market. I remember it being such a great option the last time I’d visited Osage Beach, and I was not disappointed. Its selections were as bountiful as I remember, and EVERYONE was so helpful! The manager (Ro Witt, I believe) was up at the front and directed us to all the aisles where we’d find what we were looking for; Loretta in Health and Beauty helped us with our supplements questions and was a hoot to talk with; and the two ladies in the Deli section were SO helpful—one came out from behind the counter to help us locate the specific types of sandwiches we were looking for. The three of us ended up with a sushi plate, a chicken wrap, and a market-made roast beef sandwich. We also picked up fresh fruit and—of course—two silly soaps to give as souvenirs. Jack checked us out up front and was lovely to chat with as he rang up our purchases. We’re all from Kansas City, and my two friends kept remarking how impressed they were with Dierberg’s offerings and how wonderful everyone was on staff. And that’s why I’ll return to Dierberg’s every time I’m in the area!“
