I was in Lake Ozark for a week filming a movie and ended up at The Rusty Rooster for breakfast three times — and I can honestly say it became one of the highlights of my trip. The food is beyond delicious (every plate felt like the perfect start to the day), but what really stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

It is well worth the wait to go to the Rusty rooster. We did find out however that they do take reservations. Once inside, you're seated and a waitress takes your order. Your food arrives quickly, like within 10 minutes. We went two times during our stay in the Ozarks and had good experiences both times.
This place is consistently excellent! The staff is friendly, the food is outstanding, and the wait is ALWAYS worth it ( though we rarely have to wait ) this is my absolute favorite breakfast at the lake.
