Food was great! That spicy fried rice is soooo good. Don’t sleep on this place. The pad Thai could’ve been spicier though. Spring rolls were hot and crispy and had a nice flavor too!

I've had Thai at many better palces, but there aren't any other Thai options at The Lake. This place will do if you're craving Thai food, but it's nothing like what you can get in Kansas City, STL, Jeff City, Springfield, or Columbia, MO.

The food at Wok n Roll Thai is absolutely amazing—fresh, vibrant, and full of bold, authentic flavor. It hits that perfect balance of comforting and exciting, with every dish tasting like it was made with care. But beyond how delicious everything is, what truly makes this place a five-star gem for me is what doesn’t happen after I eat here: I don’t get sick.

Living with alpha-gal syndrome means navigating a minefield of hidden pork products and beef-derived ingredients. One wrong bite and I’m down for the count. But Wok n Roll has been a total game-changer. Their vegetarian options are abundant, satisfying, and—best of all—safe. The food is clean, not greasy, and doesn’t leave me feeling heavy or symptomatic.

The staff is knowledgeable and kind, and I never feel like a burden when asking allergy-related questions. This restaurant has brought joy (and flavor) back into eating out.

We visited on 2/6/25. The owner was very sweet and helped us into the door as well as provided a warm greeting. I want to start by saying the restaurant name implies they serve Sushi. This is not the case, nor do they serve Saki.
The food was ok. They served us hot tea, that they heated up in mugs, no tea bags, no lemon, and no sweetner. I asked for Honey and they brought out a large Kirkland bottle of it that was crystalized. I had to ask the young staff to microwave it for me to get any, which they thought was very funny. I did notice as we were leaving they poured the honey into a smaller container with a spout like a creamer jar. The owner made the environment not pleasant as she sat at the bar and spoke loudly to her employees about what plants she was going to buy that day and how she planned to spend her time that day. I got vegetable fried rice....as I was really wanting Sushi and was disappointed to learn they did not serve any. It was ok. We will not be back due to atmosphere, tea service and no sushi.

I would not recommend this place. I have eaten Thai food at many Different restaurants over the years. The portions were extremely small and over priced . They did not follow directions on the amount of spice that we needed in each order. They forgot two things in our call ahead order, so we had to wait. by that time our order was already cold The kids teriyaki noodles were very bland all stuck together. My grandchildren would not even eat them.

We had low expectations about this place due to previous reviews, however it was pretty good. Lots of options with clear vegan labeling. We got the general tofu (delicious) and the Pansit noodles (just ok), at a high spice level. The high spice level was definitely at the upper limit of what we could tolerate— good thing the waiter discouraged us from getting Thai spicy. The waiter also told us the spring rolls have an egg wash and thus are not vegan.

Really good food and nice folks. Spicy fried rice (house special) is my favorite and the spring roll is one of the best.

My drunk driver was drowning in oil and the waiter acted so weird about it like he was annoyed and didn’t believe me?? Idk we won’t be back as this is our second bad experience here. The appetizers we ordered were yummy but definitely nowhere near the price we paid. I don’t recommend this place, they only took half off for the dish. I only took a few bites but It looks half eaten because of pushing it the edge of the plate and pressing the half cup of oil out.

The teriyaki tasted like beef stew, my chicken satay was like jerky and hardly edible with little to no flavor. The spring rolls were horrible and wait staff seemed out of it and maybe even new to the job.

The food and atmosphere were really good. The young man they have serving seemed more interested in sitting down to eat his meal the same time we did. Never asked how anything was, or offered refills. We had to get up and walk over to him and ask for a box and he still didn’t bring the ticket over or explain that we needed to pay somewhere else.
