The eggplant parmigiana appetizer was disgusting! Poor choice. Fortunately good friends and wine were perfect!
This place is wonderful! Food is always delicious and service warm. Tonight they were actually short a staffed and still exceeded expectations! Thank you💛
The wife and I have had dinner here three times now. Those were the BEST three steaks I've had the pleasure of eating. I love a good steak, but these were perfect. The tortellini is also spot on. Great service, very comfortable atmosphere, and amazing food. If I was looking for something that they could improve on, nothings coming to mind. Thank you, and please, don't change a thing.
My wife and I have tried various entrees at Donatellis Bistro. Two types of chicken, two types of pasta and the deluxe pizza (as well as the house salad with bread service). Nothing is bad here. The problem is that nothing is really good either. Nothing yummy, nothing I would go back for, nothing that isn't available elsewhere tasting much better for the same or less price. That being said, they do have exceptional service and a very nice ambiance. By far their best deals are the lunch specials, starting at $14.10 through $16.25 (as of October 2023), with salad & soft drink/tea/coffee included. I don't know if this is typical, but my wife and I recently went for lunch and my $15.80 lunch special was literally more than twice the amount of food included in my wife's $14.10 lunch special. The $15.80 lunch special included almost enough food for a second take home meal (maybe it will taste better warmed up the next day at home). A word of caution if you get a lunch special, it comes with the house made Creamy Italian dressing. My wife and I opted for Ranch dressing instead and it was $5.00 extra (two little containers at $2.50 each). This is not stated on the menu, not mentioned by the waitress, just showed up on the bill. I will note that Donatellis Bistro always seems to have plenty of customers, so others may disagree with our taste in food. Or, maybe its just a physically nicer place with OK food in an extremely convenient location.

They have awesome food and service
I use to frequent but quality of food and demeanor of managerial staff became condescending. The Parmesan encrusted salmon was tasty but served at room temperature. The party about 30 was but had only had two servers assigned. A very condescending woman Manager brought in the bread and butter tray and with obvious disgust slide it across the bar, the servers retrieved. When asking for a drink to be made she argued in the manner requested. The only thing going for the place is the lounge with live music. The other meals prepared and served were also room temperature. The staff took liberty in turning on a sporting event on TV during a family gathering. They were asked to turn it off after the hosts questioned .
My kids and I (party of 3) had a long day and went to have dinner. We were seated promptly but were never greeted by a server. Two different groups were then seated after us. They were each greeted promptly while we still had not been. So we waited several more minutes and then got up and left. I would hate to think the reason we were never greeted would be because my children are darker complected, but it sure felt that way. I will never step foot back in that establishment. So we went to Sybergs in Wentzville and had an excellent experience.
I can only recommend for the lively atmosphere and live entertainment after Christmas. Looked forward to a good Italian meal. Maybe the chef should focus on cooking a few things excellently. Ordered: garlic bread with extra garlic. Could not see any garlic. The bread was toasted and butter spread, little garlic taste. The calamari was good. Risotto was not close to a good risotto. The rice had a wierd texture and crunch. Could not finish. Other diner ordered a chicken dish that was not authentically made. For dessert the cannoli shell tasted stale, the whipped cream seemed like from a can or Cool Whip. Could eat after a couple of bites. The bill ($125) was quite high for the quality of the food and only water to drink .
Good food, reasonable prices and good service

Incredible food! All made from scratch, everyone of us loved our meal. We will definitely be back! Best meal out in a long time. Good service too.
Really enjoyed it all
We had been wanting to try Donatelli's carry out and were unpleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. As other reviewers have mentioned, I am not used to receiving canned green beans at a high level restaurant. The Chicken Marsala was so tough and thick that you could not cut it with a knife and fork! We threw away 1/2 of the chicken. Salad was good, but it will be a good long time before I would ever try it again!
The Service was ok the food was ok also could be better for the price, canned green beans as a side is unacceptable for the price. The Bar and Entertainment was very nice after dinner.
Had been to Donatelli's a few times over the years and decided to go again last weekend when we were in the area. The strip mall can be reached only by turning at the stop light and going down and around the building through the parking lot (very odd that you can't just turn in there from Hwy N, which would have given them more parking anyway). We were seated quickly and given lunch menus. The lunch price levels ranged from $10.99-$12.99 including a beverage and a salad, so it seemed like we were going to get a deal for the money. Between the three of us we ordered one lasagna, one chicken marsala, and one chicken modiga lunch entree (both the marsala and modiga also included a side of pasta). The portions were well sized - particularly the monster lasagna portion! - but the food was just okay. A couple of things of note: Our server, Ashton, was terrific! This review is in no way a reflection of her service. The hostess seated every neighboring table and booth down the front of the restaurant. We could easily have been spaced in separate areas because it was early for lunch and not busy, but all five of our seating spaces were within 25 feet front to back along the window line. It was a little concerning given the current climate of wearing face masks and having plenty of space between groups everywhere. More than once the hostess provided dinner menus instead of lunch menus. There is a pretty big jump up in price between the two.
