The food was good but I couldn't ready tell about the taste of the catfish. The coating is well seasoned but over powers the taste of the fish. The baked beans had more of a vinegar taste to them instead of a barbecue taste. Overall though it was a pretty good meal. The waitress was really observant and kept our drinks filled and tended to our needs. We were with a group of people and she didn't make any mistakes.
I visited here yesterday on a whim and had a great experience. Their catfish was amazing! The baked potato salad was also incrediblly good, as was the smoked turkey. The loss of one star for food was due to their sliced brisket, while tender, tasting like roast beef. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot and will be returning for the fried catfish.
Our party got pulled chicken nachos, fried catfish, a cheeseburger, butterfly shrimp, fries and hush puppies. We all loved all of it. Prices were very decent, server was quick and nice. I wish we weren’t just passing through on a road trip, because we would go back OFTEN!
