Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Lee's Summit

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and despite an unexpected hiccup, I can’t recommend it enough! I arrived near the end of the day, straight from the airport after a trip from California, to meet my family. Unfortunately, the chef had decided to close the kitchen early, which meant nearly half the menu wasn’t available. While that could’ve soured the experience, the staff turned it into something truly memorable.Our server, Jennifer, was an absolute gem. She was kind, apologetic, and went above and beyond to ensure we still felt taken care of despite the limited options. Her warmth and effort made all the difference. Then, the manager on duty, Matt, stopped by to personally apologize as well. His professionalism and genuine kindness shone through—he was more concerned about us not having the perfect experience than anything else. Both Jennifer and Matt are invaluable assets to this place; they’re the kind of people who make you feel like you matter. The food we did get was delicious, but honestly, the service was the star of the show. It’s rare to find a team so dedicated to making things right. I’ll absolutely be returning to this establishment next time I’m in town. Kudos to them for finding the best people to represent their business—Jennifer and Matt deserve all the praise!

We visit this restaurant for my cousin 30 bday and it was amazing!!! Alittle pricey but very much worth it. We even purchased a couple of bottles of wine to go.

Abbey (our server) was absolutely amazing. She always takes care of our needs and is careful of my husband’s food allergies. We love going to this location because of her. The food was delicious and the wine tasting before dinner was great. Would definitely come back and recommend!

Very nice clean place with upbeat atmosphere! The reason I have it a 3…. We had the Mahi Mahi which is a signature meal and it was pretty dry. Also portion was on the small side. The appetizer shrimp was really good. Overall I was just a little disappointed with the value of the food. I think it was overpriced. Our server was really sweet.

Every visit to Cooper's Hawk is pleasing. The food is always what I expect, and the service is friendly. When I enjoy a wine tasting, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Menu prices at Cooper's Hawk are reasonable, and the wine is unbeatable.

First, ask for our excellent server, Aaryn.
My family that came in town have been to many Cooper's Hawks wineries, but they live in St. Louis.
They make a point to go to each one anywhere they travel.
This was my first time experiencing Cooper's Hawk Winery.
Aaryn attention to detail was outstanding. We were a party of five. The number of questions and exceptions from one or more of our party members is always beyond challenging. I learned more wine in one setting than I could have even imagined.
Aaryn was patient, professional, caring, and courteous.
They served pretzel bread which was so good.
She made sure each individual was completely satisfied with the wine selected, and that the food was exactly what they ordered and wanted.
She went above and beyond to make our experience so satisfying.
I had an aunt from Dallas who melted as she enjoyed her scallops, which were one of the chef's choices that evening.
Other dishes enjoyed were Shrimp & Scallop Risotto and a Cilantro Ranch Chicken Sandwich with roasted vegetables. This is when I found out for the first time that I liked mushrooms along with carrots and other delectable choices they sauteed to perfection.
The chicken tortilla soup and Caprese Flatbread were slightly spicy. The pretzel-crusted pork chops are delicious by one of the members who has eaten at Cooper's Hawk Winery.
Aaryn made sure that everyone who wanted wine found a wine they loved.
The dessert selection was outstanding the Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée was devoured.
Flourless Chocolate Torte
was taken to go because that was one of the member's favorites.
She didn't want to miss it but she was too full to eat it.
There was also merchandise purchased a charcuterie board.
So many types of wine glasses, tableware, decanters, and wine openers too many things to mention.
This was the wine that was brought to go home with our party to enjoy
The favorite for entire guests, overall this evening. A special night for all.
Camille Brave
A blend of Zinfandel, Mourvedre, Syrah, and Petite Sirah. It has flavors of jammy fruit, pepper, violet, and black pepper.
The atmosphere was lovely from the moment you walked in until you
left. According to the members, they have been treated with perks. That's one thing that keeps them coming back. My aunt wants one in Dallas, Texas, now! My Mom has been to the one on the Plaza sometime back, and she also had a great experience. I will be returning and asking for Arryn. Thank you for a lovely evening for our family.
