HyVee catered my daughter’s wedding this last weekend and the food was phenomenal! The smoked chicken, brisket and all the sides were the best I think I’ve ever had.
They also made their wedding cake and cupcakes for guests. So beautiful!
They set up, bussed tables, took everything down and packed up leftovers for us.
We couldn’t have asked for anything better.

We didn't have an experience. It's seat yourself, we were acknowledged by a staff member as we walked in. We chose a table, sat down, waited...and nothing. A server was cleaning a table next to us...nothing was said..we waited a bit more. We left. Utterly disappointing as this was once a place we came on a regular basis. It's becoming even more scarce.

I have a Hy-Vee Plus membership and use it a couple times a week. Today I have been waiting for going on 60 minutes waiting for my aisles online order to be delivered to my car. No one has even come to get my name. The line of cars is ridiculous. I called the store to ask if anyone was working out here and customer service who answered was rude and short with her answer. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue picking up from this location. Usually I get items that I didn’t order or a substitute that is completely ridiculous. The selected produce is also bad. I don’t shop in store because I have young kids and for the convenience of grocery pickup or delivery, I tend to choose those options. If it wasn’t for the fact that I NEED groceries, I’d shop elsewhere but good options are limited. I usually shop at the west lees summit location because their service is much more proficient but it is further away from my house. I always come back to the East location thinking “I’ll give it one more try” and every time I am quickly reminded why I do not shop here.
It has now been 1 hour and 20 minutes and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY GROCERIES.

It pains me to leave this review but I have been so disappointed in my last few grocery pickups and my emails to the company have gone unanswered. The people picking groceries for pickup are doing a poor job. There is either no substitution or they substitute toasted oats(cheerios) for bran flakes ( I do not for one second believe there are no bran flakes on the shelf). This is not the first time a completely ridiculous substitution has been made without them even asking me. Or they just don’t fill it at all. Today I waited for 38 minutes to pick up my groceries. 38 minutes before anyone came to ask my name for the order. I purchased the plus membership because I utilize the store so often. But the lack of communication when filling the orders, poor substitutions and massive wait times has convinced me I need to write Hyvee off just like I did Walmart. This is the closest store to my home and I truly used to love this place but the grocery pickup (which used to be amazing) has gotten to the point they don’t pick my groceries remotely right (or at all) then I have to wait over 35 minutes trapped in a line to pick them up. I can’t wait to come in the store and return the toasted oats I can’t eat.

I am soo incredibly thankful for the cake that your bakery staff created for my babies first birthday. I went in just 4 days before my daughters party bc I had cancelled a cake order from Sam’s bc I knew I wouldn’t be happy with the design. I came in with intention to just get a smash cake ordered and some cupcakes and I am just blown away!!! Thank you!!
