McKeever’s Market and Eatery Lee’s Summit Missouri
Super nice facility.
Clean and well lit inside and outside.
Great product and excellent meat selection.
The shelves were well stocked, date rotated where I examined. The shelf and stock I check was also clean.
No interaction with staff expect checkout which was fast and friendly.
The only minus in this otherwise 5 star review is the lack of bread in the bread aisle.
Great store🎉
Great food selection. Very clean sore!
Lowered my previously rating due to chamges in salad bar and lower availability in single slices of pie. Need more variety in pre-made meals besides pasta and everything chicken.
Variety of quality products. Large aisles with well stocked shelves. One stop shopping. This is a clean store. The greeter was friendly and at self check out there was an immediate response when I pushed for assistance. The cashier/manager? Explained the discounts would reflect at the end of my transaction rather then the sales price showing at the time it's scanned. I didn't like it not showing the correct sales price when scanned however the total did correctly reflect the advertised prices. I would highly recommend this store. Competitive pricing, convenient location, well lighted parking lot and associates who are professional and friendly even close to closing time. In my opinion this is the best market in Lee's Summit.
What's the need to display a NO GUNS sign on your business?
If I happen to be in the area and need to quick run in and grab something, I'll be conceal carrying in your store. You don't get to infringe on 2A with me.
But not to worry, I'll spend my freedom loving dollars elsewhere. One and done.
Poor taste.
I was in this store yesterday 11/2/24. I walked around the produce department asked a young lady a question and moved on the the meat section. There were two male employees talking never acknowledged my presence. I moved on. I was still near when a lady of a different race walked by not lingering for nearly as long as I did and was immediately asked if she needed help. I checked my cell it was exactly 2:57pm. I said aloud, wow and shook my head. I took note of the time to make you know who to speak with if you desire to. I've been coming into this store since it opened and have NEVER experienced anything like this as every other employee I've ever encountered has been very nice and accommodating.
Awesome
Very disappointed today. I called yesterday at 4pm about bugs in my broccoli, they were completely covered in aphids. I called to let them know so they could take them off the shelves and I said I didn’t need a refund I just wanted to let them know. The woman I spoke to said they would make it right and that I could come in for a refund. After thinking about how expensive it was, I decided to come in today (I bought it the day before yesterday) and they told me they couldn’t refund without a receipt. I offered the card I bought them with and they said they couldn’t look it up either. They said I could get more broccoli to replace it but I wouldn’t be able to replace it with anything else. I don’t want to get more broccoli, the last one I bought from here was covered in bugs. I just want my money back, it was 3.99. I’m just sad, embarrassed, and disappointed, I didn’t even get the groceries I was going to get while I was here. Don’t offer refunds if you don’t mean it.
Edit: I went all the way home and dug through my entire trash trying to find the receipt and I can’t find it but I still have the broccoli. So disappointed
What lured me to this grocery store was this talk of their salad bar which was simply the best in Kansas City or so I was told. Once I got there the salad bar was completely neglected and looted. I just simply walked back outside into the parking lot. I did not come at an inconspicuous time either, I came at around 5:00pm in the afternoon when most families would be looking to load up on their food for the evening.
Very clean store. Well organized and well managed

They have most items I was after. Very excellent produce section great variety of fruits and fresh vegetables . No duplex cookies that knocked the stars down to 4.
There is exactly one reason that I can see to choose this store over Supertarget across the street: the bakery. Yes, the store is sparkling and neatly merchandised. Yes, there are your typical brands. But the Supertarget is like that too; in fact, it's the nicest one I've ever been to. McKeever's does nothing to make itself more appealing than typical stores, other than the bakery and the aesthetics. The prices are higher, there are hardly any employees on the floor, and the brands are all your typical ones. There is no special attention given to local products, there are few luxury/high-end products to add another dimension to the store's appeal, and no health-conscious department. Even my local Hyvee has one of those! Tellingly, I went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was dead. I asked the cashier if that was normal for Saturday, and he said it was.
McKeever's needs to rethink its model. There is no Whole Foods or Trader Joe's in the area, just a Sprouts. In a suburb like LS, Mc Keevers might do much better if it would appeal to the WF and TJs crowd. I'd love to support a local store like that, if the prices were comparable. For regular brands, why would I go here when I can buy the same stuff and much more across the street?
The bakery is amazing!!! One of the bakers, Jamie, took the time to listen to what I wanted for my daughter’s birthday. She had never even heard of the specific character before but took the time to listen and look at some pictures with me before creating this beautiful cake! It was absolutely perfect and tasted amazing too. I will definitely be going back for future cakes and bakery items!
Went grocery shopping there today for the first time. I won’t be returning. I spent 15 minutes looking for an item that says it’s in stock online, and then searched for ANY employees and I finally made my way to the registers where they were all (6 employees) standing in a group at one register chatting away, while me and another customer needed help in the aisles. Then, said employees acted as if it was the end of the world to stop their conversation and help us. Super rude. That was a horrible experience for a first (and now last) time shopper.
I've liked this store since it has opened, clean store, not crazy busy, decent sales, friendly staff.
