The ice cream was great! So glad I did a quick google search for ice cream and found them. I enjoy supporting local business like Poppy's.

Overpriced and bad costumer service! We went for the first time. They had just a few flavors and the flavors of the ones we tried were not defined. They both taste the same even though they were different flavors. We paid for a double scoop $9.75 plus tax! Service was not friendly. I left the store feeling like I was not charged properly; but I asked at least three times about the prices and both girls just pointed at the price boards. I even said to one "This is confusing" meaning the boards, with names and prices, are confusing and she answered "Yes, I know".

Poppy's is open until 10pm in the summer. The ice cream is delicious. The service is always wonderful. Try the blackout.

Great place that’s been around for a while. I love the burnt sugar ice cream and one of their homemade cones. Locally owned and operated, I’ve never had a bad experience there. Limited seating outside

Cute little pop & mom ice cream & coffee shop. Limited indoor seating; several chairs on the sidewalk also. No pastries, coffee cakes, or the like. 12 to 15 ice cream flavors.

Went in on a Wednesday evening and got two scoops, one cake batter ice cream and one mango passion fruit sorbet with strawberry purée on top . I also tried their fancy soda in the cherry flavor it was very strong! The girls at the counter were very fast, helpful and kind. You can sample any ice cream you want before deciding and they also have little adorable chocolate truffles as well. I Highly recommend this place on a hot summer day.

I don’t know why this particular place brings out the weirdest reviewers. It’s like y’all have never been somewhere that you exchange money for ice cream, or interact with humans.The ice cream? Delicious, always, and the flavor variety is impressive. The sorbets are also delicious. The gianduja espresso shake made with the best coffee in Kansas City, from Broadway? Absolute perfection.The staff? Always friendly and inviting, even when we’ve committed the cardinal sin of coming in 15 minutes before close.The environment? Always perfectly clean.

Overall it was a solid ice cream shop. It was inviting and the employees were friendly and kind. For me there were a few too many froufrou flavors. I am more of a plain flavor guy without the bubblegum, mango, cheesecake, or birthday cake flavors. I was also disappointed in their website because they did not display their menu when I clicked on it. It says "there are currently no menus to display." In today's digital age you definitely need a good website or app to showcase your store. Please keep your website up to date.
